John Egberts POV:
Holy what the ever what? Your mind races as you try to process what the heck is going on. Dave Strider is kissing you? You're kissing back? Wait, are you? You can't tell. It's not like you had enough time with his lips pressed against yours to respond because he retracted them a little too quickly.
Dave instantly begins to shy away as he crawls away from you by a few feet, and you try to sort your thoughts out of what exactly happened. The sound of Dave's voice catches your ear, making you look up from your confused thoughts.
"Haha, wow dude," he begins his nervous ramble, "so you don't like it when others prank you? Haha...Well, that meant nothing, just you were too caught up in your thoughts, and I knew I could try something your way for once...it's not like I want any of those Egdorky lips or anything." His voice nervously began to break and a tiny bit of a southern twang began crawling out.
You now are listening to his words and you are taking in everything he says. He sounds too nervous to be kidding, plus, he sometimes thinks your pranks are stupid. He would never do that and your know it. Not even ironically.
You know what he's saying are lies because he is rambling, and everything he's saying doesn't add up. But the only thing that is keeping you from acting on what you feel is the fact that this can't be right. Dave Strider, your crush who is also a guy, kissed you? You doubt this even really happens to straight people, but is Dave really not straight? Well, when you think about his brother getting married to Jake, you realize that it's not impossible.
You can recall many girls being around him and by his side when he first moved here, but he never said a word or even blinked at them. Maybe...you think, just maybe...it's not impossible that he likes you.
In the background of your thoughts, his rambling continues and it gets seemingly more nervous and rapid, and even his country accent begins slipping through because of your absence of words. He's talking too fast now, and you figure it may be time to put him out of his misery.
You gather your courage, leaving your annoying thoughts behind that are telling you how there could be consequences, and try to move your muscles with grace as you lean over to the unsuspecting, rambling Dave, and kiss him.
This time, he's the one who is surprised and caught off guard. You kiss him for a long few seconds, then retreat, pulling out an awkward grin on your face. There. You did it. You kissed your crush and you did it.
Now Dave seemed to be processing the situation. After a moment he became a real boy again and said, "I thought you weren't a homosexual?"
"I lied." You shrugged. "It's not like I swore I wasn't."

Dave Striders POV:
What the fuck did you just do? You retreat, and begin rambling the first excuse that comes to your sorry-ass. When John doesn't respond, you're even more terrified. The boy you like just sits there, thinking and listening to your bullshit. To you, he looks mad, confused, and like he's in a deep thought. Damn, why couldn't he just yell at you already and stop your pain?
Maybe he would follow along with your sorry excuse for an excuse, and just pretend like nothing happened? Maybe he might yell at you and kick you out at three in the morning? Maybe he will go upstairs and get a shotgun? Wait, why would John have a shotgun? Where would he have even obtained a shotgun? Why are you thinking about John Egbert with a shotgun? The world may never know.
You're still too busy rambling externally and internally to focus on the real world anymore, so the next thing that happens is completely and utterly surprise and amazement. He's kissing you. Like you did to him. Holy fuck, what the hell?
He pulls away, and you desperately wish you had kissed him back, but you didn't. You think for a minute, trying to piece everything together.
"I thought you weren't a homosexual?" Damn. Out of everything you could've said, you might have just had picked the best, somehow. Why is it the best? Because it actually gave answers.
The boy in blue shrugged and gave a somewhat annoying reply.
"Why did you lie?" You question.
He began entangling his fingers together and bit his lip. "I didn't want anyone to think different of me, or be afraid to hang out alone with me." That's it. That's the most innocent reply. Damn, you swear, with his blue eyes looking around all innocent and embarrassed that he's like a puppy in human form.
"You do realize that my brother is literally getting married to a dude, right?" You fix your glasses like an anime character, as you try to hide your own red cheeks that you know still haven't faded from a moment ago. "There's no way I'd stop hanging with a bro for such a fucking stupid reason."
John nods. After a moment more of messing with his fingers, he speaks again. "Dave, if I may ask, why'd you kiss me?"
You want to give him a look. And you know what, hells yeah you're gonna give him the look, because let's face it, you already gave him selfies of your face with your eyes. You tilt your head down, allowing your glasses to slide down your nose, revealing your red eyes as you raise an eyebrow.
"Why? Because I'm a slut on the hunt for your booty. What do you think, Egderp? Fuck it, John, I have a confession to make." You get closer to him, your head in the same position, but this time you make your face more serious. "I've had a crush on you since we met on Pesterchum."
Johns eyes widen and his mouth drops, and you can see his cute buck teeth perfectly. His face quickly changes to a flustered grin, much like a person being proposed to by the person of their dreams.
You are still trying to decide if he's your boyfriend at the moment, because without official recognition, there's no way to know. Besides, you're still trying to decide if he really likes you or not, despite the kiss he gave you and his telling you of his sexuality.
"John, if I may ask, why'd you kiss me?" You repeat his question to him.
He's so flustered right now, and it's cute to watch. The more you watch him, the more you can envision him as an adorable little puppy. "Because, I've had a crush you, too." He shifts around uneasily, his legs crossed as he rocks back and forth.
These words. Damn, these motherfucking words, you swear, you'll never forget them. With these words you lean over to him and kiss him again. This time he's only surprised at first, but then he begins kissing back and you can feel your heart being lifted and melted at the same time.
So this is what it's like to be kissing the guy you've had your eye on. So this is what it's like to be kissing a guy. So this is what it's like to be kissing. Huh. It's somehow...more pleasant than you thought it'd be. Even though you're "Mr. Popular," you have never kissed anyone until now. And you must say that you're enjoying it to the max.
If you weren't too busy with only thoughts of the present coursing through your mind, you'd just hope to Pluto and back that Johns dad is still asleep as you make-out with his son at three in the morning.
