[A/N: Yoo sorry for the long wait (again) I've just been busy for the past few weeks, and in my spare time, I've been trying to actually catch up with the webcomic (still not caught up). Also, I hope this doesn't go against any terms of this website, but my friends and I have started a homestuck cosplay group, so if you wanna look into joining it, just message me either on tumblr or here and I'll give you a link. Sorry for stalling, here's the next chapter!]
[Oh, also a possible warning. This might get kind of deep if you're in the closet irl, so if you want to skip this chapter please do. I don't want to cause anyone to have scary thoughts or anything, so if you read this and become uncomfortable at anytime, just skip. If you do skip this, I'll make a quick recap i the next chapter to catch you up.]
John's POV:
It's Monday, and damn have your classes been slow. You just really can't wait for the weekend again. How many more days? All of them. All of the days. You're busy getting books out of your locker, and by the time you're done, you hardly notice the figure that's standing right behind it, causing you to jump when you realize that someone was there.
"Hello, John." The girl said. You look at her, gaining the breath that was startled out of you.
"Vriska, please, don't to that again." You shift the dial of your locker a few times just to do it, then begin walking, the dark haired girl following in step next to you.
"What? I didn't do nothing. I just merely walked up 8eside you. You're the one who scared yourself 8y not paying attention!!!!!!!!" Vriskas words were always so tricky, and always had some truth in them, even though you know that she had done that on purpose. She always somehow manages a way around making things go on her concious. Not that you notice any of this, really. She continued onto her main reason for talking to you, "Well, John, I've noticed something going on 8etween you and the Strider kid."
You blush, now confident that you have probably been doing the worst job ever at keeping your relationship a secret. As you round a corner, brushing past people who are walking too slow to trail behind, you gain a squeeze on the books that you are carrying. "Oh? Well, I hope that that's not going to be an issue with you."
Okay, you know that your relationship with the blue-lipped girl is only platonic, and will never be anything more, but you still want to make sure that this is not going to bug her. Besides. You tend to think of her as a friend.
"Oh, no. Not with me. I'm okay with that, 8ut what a8out everyone else? Rose? Jade? Even your own dad? And don't forget a8out all of the homopho8es at this school. You might wanna watch your 8ack, you never know who knows who you're holding hands with. They might just 8e the end of you." Vriska warned. Of course, this was something that you already knew, but coming from her, it sounded slightly more dangerous, and somehow more dire. Probably the tone in her voice, or the way she phrased it.
"It's not Rose or Jade that I'm afraid of. Besides, Rose and Kanaya are a thing, right? And Jade knows that, too. It's not like they're going to be homophobic." You point out.
It's a little too obvious that Vriska has things planned out. That, or everything she says is something that she comes up with on the spot. "What a8out your dad? I don't think that he's seeing a guy. Or that he ever has. Heh, I even dou8t that he's seen a woman."
You kind of frown at this. Okay, more than just kind of, but still, you look down at the floor with scared expression on your face. This is the main thing that you try to avoid thinking about. Because what if it's true? What if your dad will hate you for dating a guy? What if he disowns you and kicks you to the curb? What would you do then?
"John, whatever the need is, I'm here for you. Remem8er that. Even if no8ody else is." You feel a warm hand pat you on the back.
"Thanks, Vriska." You reply, the warm hand disappearing from your spine. After a second you look up and the girl is gone. Poof. Out of sight. Absconded. A sigh passes your lips as you step into the lunchroom and you slip into your seat right as Dave arrives in the seat next to you.
