Chapter 5

A knock on her door woke Emily up the next morning. Her alarm read 08:13 in bold red. She had 10 minutes to get ready for school or she'd be late.Groaning Emily rolled over and screamed into the pillow.

Laughing from the other side of the door stood Richard Prentiss and Aaron Hotchner. She was meant to be walking with her boyfriend to school.

"Go wake her up Son, I think your the only thing that's going to get her out of bed" Richard said laughing as he walked towards his office

Knocking once more Aaron walked into Emily's  room seeing she was still in bed. Aaron pulled the covers of her

"Go away. I don't want you here" Emily voice said muffled into the pillows
"Even me?" He asked
Emily jumped up and threw her arms and legs around Aaron knocking them to the ground
"You only has 7 minutes left" Aaron said standing up with a hand stretched out for Emily
"Shut uppppp" she said walking into her bathroom 5 minutes later she came out with her school uniform a shirt, blouse, blazer and boots. Face washed hair done and teeth brushed
"Let's get this over with" Emily groaned taking Aaron's hand
"Em it's only the first day what's wrong?"
Emily suddenly started to panic she had always struggled with anxiety. As tears filled her eyes she just kept walking.
"Bye Daddy love you" she said walking out the house
Aaron came to a still and pulled Emily into a protected hug
"You'll be okay. " Aaron kissed the top of her hair
"I don't want to go"
"Why not Em?" He asked as they walked out onto the street
"Hailey" she said quietly
Aaron instantly felt bad. Hailey had been all over him. She was older that he was by 2 years. They never went out but Emily always knew Hailey was more of Aaron's type than Emily was.
"Aww baby. Em I'm with you and I don't want to be with her. You and ONLY YOU." He said giving her a kiss

They walked for the next 10 minutes and arrived at school with 7 seconds to spare

"Just in time love bird" ray said as he came up to Emily and Aaron.
"Hahaha" Aaron said dramatically
"Okay well we should get to class. I'll see you in a hour." He said kissing Emily
"Okay." Emily started walking away Aaron ran up to her and caught her hand
"hey what not you be you will or okay hotshot?" Aaron asked
"Sorry" she said looking at her feet as they came to a stop at her class door
"Em look at me" he said placing his forefinger under her chin and his thumb on top
" you'll be okay. I promise. Text me if your not" he said kissing her cheek
Emily simply just hugged Aaron tight. He pulled her closer.
" do you really have to go now ?" She asked
"I'll see you soon" he replied walking away
Emily walked into English playing with her thumbs. She was so sick of anxiety controlling her life everything she tried only worked and then it was back to bullshit smiles and red eyes. Sometimes she just wanted it all to stop Emily honestly though about it a lot but when her and Aaron became friends she didn't as much . A loud wolf whistle pulled her out of her thoughts
"Damn Prentiss. Hotchner really scored" James yelled out and they class started agreeing. Emily blushed and sat down next to jade.
" so you and Aaron huh?  Since when?" She asked
"Umm last week"
"I'm happy for you." Jade said smiling
"Thanks" Emily smiled back

The lesson went fast and Emily was forever grateful for that. Next was math and even though Emily hated the class with a passion she was glad Aaron was with her they sat together too so that was even better. Walking down the hallway hands covered her eyes.
"Guess who" Emily knew who it was she always knew when he was around.
"Ummm?" She pretended to think
Aaron laughed and removed his hands from her eyes and took her hand with him
"How was English?" He asked
"Good. How was Social Studies?"
Boring"

As soon as they walked into the class they dropped hands not wanting to get in trouble from the teachers

" are you going to try for lacrosse? " Aaron asked Emily. They were sitting under a tree Aaron was against It while Emily was lying with her head in his lap
