Chapter 7

The next morning Emily woke up with something heavy on her chest. Panicking she opened her eyes seeing Aaron as everything from yesterday came back to her. They finally said their 'I love yous' and Aaron had a nightmare early morning. Running her finger through his hair Emily was thinking about how to ask him about his recent behaviour.
Aaron woke up shortly after finding Emily staring down at him with her fingers in his hair. Not wanting to get up he cuddled her closer and hid his face further in her neck.
Ruffling his hair Emily said "morning sleepy"
A muffled "morning" came from Aaron as he placed a kiss on the part of her neck that connected with her collarbone.
"Come on we have to get up, Dads taking us out on the boat today" Emily said excitedly
"What?" Aaron asked
"What do you mean what?"
"Boat days are only for family"Aaron replied knowing Richard only took Emily and her mother out and sometimes his close friend Dave.
"Well your family now silly." Emily laughed
"Really?"he asked
"Really really,now come on" she said pushing him off her so they could get ready.
Walking towards her bathroom leaving Aaron in the bed
"Hey, come back here" he pulled her back by the waist causing her to land in his lap he wrapped his arms around her and rested his head in the crook of her neck.
"What's going on with you?" Emily asked smiling leaning back further into Aaron she covered out her hands over his that were on her lower abdomen
"What do you mean?" He replied kissing her cheek
"Your all lovey dovey" Emily said
"Lovey Dovey? And can't I miss my girlfriend who I love very much" Aaron said
"How much?" Emily asked smiling daringly
"So" kiss "very" kiss "very" kiss "very" kiss "much" he said kissing up her neck. He pulled her of his lap and laid her down on the bed and they started making out his hand went under her shirt and traced lightly over her firm abs making her giggle. The moment was unfortunately ruined when there was an abrupt knock on the door,which was shortly followed by the door opening not giving them any time to straighten up. Richard Prentiss cleared his throat he walked into his 'little' girls room seeing Aaron on her with his hand up her Fluffy bunny pajamas that made her look so innocent . He carefully thought of his next actions towards the couple and decided to have a talk with each of them SEPARATELY.
"We're leaving in 30" he simply said and walked out closing the door.
They both burst out in laughter after 5 minutes they were tired out.
"Okay shoo  I gotta get changed and you can't be in here when that happens cause dads here" Emily said motioning for him to move with her hands
"I'm allowed to be in here when he's not?" He questioned trying to hide his excitement
"I don't know maybe" she said seductively while pushing him out the door
"What no goodbye kiss?" Aaron asked hopefully
Emily simply laughed kissing him on the lips and quickly shutting the door. She leaned against it smiling happily for a few minutes before getting changed 25 minute later she was down stairs

"Oh hi can I help you?" Emily asked when she bumped into a man around the same age as her father
"Emily?" He asked
"Yeah? I'm sorry do I know you sir?" She asked confused
"You haven't changed a bit since when you dad and I taught you how to shoot" the older man replied
"Uncle Dave?" Emily said throwing her arms around him
"Hello kiddo" Rossi said hugging her back
"Why have you been gone so long?" Emily said
"I was busy sweetie "he replied
"Are you coming with today?" Emily asked hopefully
"He sure is" he dad said walking into the front reception hall. Emily just smiled happily satisfied with the answer.
"Whoa are we missing the party over here?"Sean asked as he walked in along with Aaron
"Aaron, Sean this is" Emily started
"David Rossi, it's an honour to meet you sir, You books are amazing" Aaron said shaking the older mans hand
"Please Dave is just fine Sir makes me feel old" Dave said laughing
"Emily I take it this is you guy friend" Rossi said noticing Aaron's arm around her waist
"Yeah um he's my boyfriend uncle Dave"Emily blushed
"Don't hurt her boy. Not only will Richard tear you apart but I will too." He said seriously Aaron looked terrified and Sean laughed, Emily just grabbing Aaron's hand
"Come on let's find my mom" she said dragging her boyfriend along with her
"Em mom flew out this morning" her dad said
"What! I didn't even say goodbye." Emily was clearly upset
"Em you were sleeping she didn't want to wake you up" he added
"It's okay I'm waiting in the car. Sean you coming?" The young girl asked
"I'm going to a friends house I'll see you tomorrow" he said as Emily walked out the door Aaron following

A few hours later on the boat
"Hey Aaron will you come help me with the bait?" Richard asked him walking under the covered area of the boat
"Sure" Aaron said looking at Emily kind of worried thinking he's going to kill me she just shrugged
"Aaron I really don't know how else to say this so I'm just going to be straight with you" Richard started looking at Aaron seeing he was terrified he let out a chuckle
"Look Em is my little girl and I know that when I was your age I was making out like you two were this morning and I don't think I'm going to be able to stop what comes next" he continued pulling something out of his pocket
"So please be careful but just wait a while more she is still so innocent and she my baby girl."He stuck his hand out and shook Aaron's passing 3 condoms to him during the handshake
"Um sir I think you got the wrong idea. I'm not using Emily for this" Aaron said terrified
"I know son but it will come eventually, please be wait until she's ready." He said
"I will sir" Aaron said walking away shakily putting the condom in his wallet discreetly

"What was that about?" Emily questioned as Aaron stood behind her with his hands on her waist
"Nothing" he said and kissed her cheek
"Okay" she laughed
"I love you" he replied resting his chin on the top of her head
"I love you too" Emily replied feeling a tug on her line she got excited
"Oooo I think I got something" she started reeling it in unfortunately the creature was too strong for her and dragged Emily and her fishing rod into the ocean before anyone could stop it.

Coming up to the surface she started scream and yelling wanting to get out she saw sharks previously and was terrified. Her dad and Aaron acted quickly pulling her up to the boat while Dave put a towel around her shoulders. That's when Aaron noticed she was heaving and crying. She was having a panic attack he'd known from experience after those many nights his father hit him.

Aaron put his arm around her shoulder and lead her into the cabin while Dave and Her dad were starting the boat to go back to land.

"Shhh Shhh baby it's okay, your okay. I promise you'll be okay" her boyfriend said as he sat down and pulled her into his lap.

"I wanna go home" Emily replied as she hid her face in his neck ashamed of having him seen her break down. They had know each other very well but she never let him or anyone else see her break down or hanged panic attacks she struggled with anxiety since she was 12

"How long have you been having panic attacks Em?" He asked after she calmed down
"Since I was 13" she replied
"How'd you know I was having one?" Emily asked
"Don't worry I just know. It's a story for another day" he hugged her closer to him

2 hours later
Aaron walked into his house seeing that his father wasn't home he was relieved. Sitting down on the couch he placed his elbows on his knees and his face in his hands "How could I have not picked up on Emily's anxiety I'm supposed to be her boyfriend, her best friend god I'm so stupid I don't deserve her." He thought hearing the door open he thought it was him mom looking up unfortunately he saw his dad and he smelt of alcohol he knew tomorrow he would wake up bruised
