Chapter 24

"Hey if you guys are hungry I know a pretty good Indian restaurant that's open all night" Reid said

"Oh I can't I have a date" Emily replied

"You got a date? With who?" Morgan asked. The team had seen the kiss between Aaron and Emily but thought it was just out of relief that she was safe and Emily wasn't wearing her ring at work

"My hot tub"

"Oh now that's sounds like a party"

"Your so not invited" Emily laughed closing her bag as Morgan imitated a slap to his face . She couldn't wait to relax after a long day at work and cuddle with Aaron and Jack.

"Hold on guys" JJ said walking down the stairs

"Change of plans" Reid said

"I'm glad a caught you" the blond told them coming to a stop

"Is everything okay?" Emily asked

"I've been on the phone with the sherif of Nevada; there's been a series of suspicious accidents in the rino area may be connected"

"JJ this can't wait till the morning?"derek asked leaning on his desk

"I don't think so. If I'm right about this we'll be leaving first thing tomorrow. Sorry " she apologised

They walked to the round table

In the jet the next morning

"JJ?" Emily asked as she watched her out headphone over her stomach

"So the baby can't here" she replied and Emily smiled trying to hid her pain. She still wasn't over the loss of her baby and no one of the team besides Aaron knew about the miscarriage. It was hard for Emily too see JJ pregnant with her second child while she lost her first only a few weeks prior.

After the case was solved Emily and Aaron headed back to her apartment after picking Jack up from daycare. They had invited the team over planning to tell them about everything. Everyone was already there and Emily was freaking out.

"Anyone need more drinks?" She asked trying to avoid what she had to do

"Em. Sit down we have to tell them" Aaron said grabbing her arm and guiding her back down to the couch

"Tell us what?" JJ asked rubbing her belly

Emily took a deep breath and looked at her friends. She and Aaron were sitting together on the loveseat while JJ, Reid and Rossi sat on the long part of the L couch and Garcia and Morgan on the short part.

"That boyfriend I told you guys about Damian I think I said his name was.... yeah um well than Damian is actually Aaron." She said and Garcia and JJ immediately jumped up and squealed. Rossi leaned back in his seat smirking, already knowing about the couple. Morgan took longer to process what he had been told and Reid just sat there awkwardly not knowing what to say they were both nevertheless happy for them.

"So how long has this been going on?" Garcia asked once she calmed down

Emily and Aaron looked at eachother and he placed his right hand on her inner knee before answering " 7 years"

"Holy shit" Derek said
"How did we not pick up on this?"

Before they could answer JJ yelled out
"Wait Hotch is the boyfriend you can't give head too because he laughes to much!"

Aaron turned bright red and looked like a deer in headlights. Emily noticed and laughed at him while she guided his head to her shoulder. "You told her that" he whispered embarrassed

"Sorry" she giggled

"Next topic" Emily said turning back to her friends

"Nuh uh princess not so fast" Derek told her. For the next 1 and a half the couple told their friends about how they got together and some other stories about their relationship until a crash of objects followed by a cry for 'momma' could be heard from upstairs

Emily ran upstairs so fast the team was amazed and mesmerised how she could calm Jack so fast. She came returned shortly after with teary Jack in her arms. Emily took her place next to Aaron when she noticed the team staring

"What?" She asked confused as Jack cuddled closer and played with her hair

"Momma?" All 5 asked at the same time

"And what is that!" Garcia exclaimed pointing at her finger.
"OMG! OMG! OMG!" She squealed again

"We're getting married" Emily smiled rubbing Jacks back

A round of congrats followed the announcement. They spent another 30 minutes talking before everyone left.

"I can't believe you told JJ about that" Aaron said when the couple was in bed later that night

"About what?" She asked smiling innocently

"You know damn well what I'm talking about"

"No.... I don't think I do" Emily said as her hands traveled down to the hem of his boxers

"Your such a tease" he told her before rolling her over so he was on top of her

They quickly shed their close and spent 15 minutes kissing down each others bodies and making the other hot and bothered.

Aaron lined himself up with her entrance while he nibbled on her neck. Right has he was about to enter her he felt her tense up.

"Em?"

"I'm okay keep going"

"Emily what's wrong"

"Nothing keep going" she told him. Emily kissed him hard and when she felt he didn't respond she flipped them so she was on top.

He grabbed her hips so she would stop and he sat up. He looked at her but she looked down avoiding his gaze. Placing his forefinger and thumb on her chin he brought her to look up. Instead of seeing the loving brown eyes he was used to he saw teary ones full of fear and uncertainty.

"Emily. What's wrong?please tell me" he asked rubbing her exposed back

She swallowed hard before answering "I'm not ready yet. I know it's been 5 weeks but I'm not ready yet and I feel bad that I can't make you feel good" Emily admitted as a single tear trailed down her face shortly followed by several more

Aaron brushed them away and guided her head towards his shoulder. She immediately wrapped her arms and legs around him and sobbed while he held onto her.

"It's okay Em. It's okay" he soothed her

"I was meant to protect him Aaron. And I couldn't.... I-" she staggered

"I couldn't protect out little boy" she said and the water works started. Not only hers but his as well

The couple once again cried for the loss of their little boy. After a while Emily started shivering and Aaron made a quick motion to dress her in sweatpants and a hoodie. They where actually his but she had slowly took them over. He didn't mind though.

After putting on his boxers he climbed into bed and wrapped his arms around her

"I know we never really talked about it, but when I heard the nurse say we lost out baby. I already knew I wanted a family with you." Aaron said as Emily turned in his arms and buried her head in his neck holding him as tight as he was holding her

"And when your ready. We can try again." He added and she looked up

Emily cupped his cheek and ran her thumb along his jaw before leaning in and placing a soft kiss on his thin lips. It lasted long that she thought it would but the kiss told him that she was sorry and that she loved him.

"I love you" he said leaning his head down against a hers

"I love you too" she sniffed and hugged him tighter

They soon fell asleep both think about their future together. Aaron, Emily, Jack and a little boy or girl.
