Chapter 40

It was barely 11 o'clock Friday morning when Hotch came down the stairs from his office in a seemingly happy mood

"Why don't we call an early day. Finish the paperwork that due today and then head home" he told his team and stopped walking when he got to his wife's desk

"Hey Em" Morgan called out leaning towards her

"Mmm" she answered still writing he final report

"What ever your doing with Bossman keep doing it" he joked

"What you mean the sexy costume surprises? Or the massages with oils and-" Emily teased but was cut off by her husband

"Hey hey hey, don't tell them that" Aaron said seriously

"Jealous?" She smirked bitting her lip

"No. I get to go home with you. He doesn't. But I don't want him picturing you like that" he answered protectively helping her out of her chair

Emily wrapped her arms around his waist and he placed a kiss on her hair

"Get a room" Morgan told the couple

Emily laughed and placed her hands Hotch's cheeks and kissed him dramatically causing whistles from the team. She pulled away laughing and turned when she heard a voice yell "mommy"

Garcia came through the glass door carrying her baby girl and Jack ran towards them as soon as he called out

"Hey buddy. What are you doing here?" Emily said as she picked the boy up

"Aunty Penny got us from school" he smiled widely and kissed his mother cheek.
Once Layla was settle in her father arms they family walked out to car and Aaron drive them to the park

40 minutes later Emily and Aaron were sitting side by in the grass as they watched Jack help his sister walking

"Look at her mommy" Jack giggled as the girl walked slowly in front of him while holding his hands

"Good job bunny"
"Daddy is so proud of you" Aaron told his little girl when Jack brought her over

"Emmy?" Jack said while playing with the grass

"Yeah Jack" She replied looking away from her husband and daughter and faced the boy

"You know how you're my and Layla's mommy" he started. She only nodded in response

"I know your mommy. Nana Lizzy" he continued but Hotch immediately stopped him sensing where the conversation was going

"It's okay Aaron. Go on Jack" Emily said placing a cans in Aaron's bicep

"Where's your daddy?"he 4 year old asked innocently

"My daddy, went to the angles a long time ago"
Emily told him as she pulled him into her lap. Sensing that she needed comfort Jack wrapped his small arms around her neck and played with her hair. Something they both enjoyed.
She missed her father dearly but Aaron had given her two beautiful children. Her own family.

"Hey, I was just taking some photos for my photography class I captured one of you guys. Would you like it?" A young woman said a few moments later

"Thank you so much" Emily smiled as the woman left.

Arron wrapped him arm around Emily as they watched their son and daughter laugh together a few meter in front of them.
Jack and Layla were giggling hysterically as they watched the birds

"You okay?" He asked her after placing a living kiss to her cheek

Intertwining their finger she held onto his arm as they continued walking "I'm perfect" she smiled at him
