Chapter 15

The next morning 5:40 am

"Declan you have to listen to me okay" Emily said he nodded against her throat

"Buddy I work for the police and you know your daddy is a bad guy and he was hurting you. So I had to pretend to be someone I'm not to help you get away from him." Emily said

"What do you mean Lor?" Declan asked sitting up in her lap

"My name is Emily and not Lauren."

"That's a pretty name" he replied unfazed continuing to play with her hair

"Declan in order to keep you safe you can't be with me." That got his attention tears immediately appearing in his eyes

"No I wanna stay with you" he yelled as he held onto her her neck with his right arm and held her sweatshirt in his left.

After 20 minutes of crying he passed out

"You'll look after him right?" Emily said

"I promise" Tom said he was assigned to protect and raise Declan

"I'll miss you" Louise said as she hugged Emily
The Intepol jet had landed and Emily was going home

"I'll miss you too Louise. Take care of him" Emily told her. She kissed the top of Declan's while he was sleeping she walked to the limo that was waiting for her.

"Are you going to be okay?" Clyde asked as the car rode towards Aaron's apartment

"I have to be don't I" she said looking out the window she hated that she had to leave that little boy. In the short 3 months she spent with him she loved the little boy so much

"It was a pleasure" Clyde said as the car came to a stop and Emily exited

Knowing it was his day off Emily got out Aaron's apartment keys and walked through the door. Looking around she was saw that everything was still dark and the curtains were closed which meant he was still asleep.

Opening his bedroom door Emily was met with a peacefully sleeping Aaron Hotchner. She smiled at the sight and kicked her shoes off.
She pulled back the covers and wrapped her arms around him from behind. Aaron's eyes shot open fully alert. Turning over quickly he saw his beautiful girlfriend that had a huge smile on her face. Waisting no time he collapsed on top of her and held her tight

"God I missed you." He said against her throat

"I missed you too" Emily replied and kissed him deeply

They quickly got rid of their clothes and spent the morning and most of the afternoon showing each other how much they missed them.

"That's the longest we've gone without sex" Emily said as she giggled

Aaron stayed silent he felt guilty. He knew he had to tell her

"Let's go watch a movie" he said getting out of bed and putting on his boxers. He passes Emily his sweatshirt and her panties that were on the floor

2 months later

He knew he had to tell Emily now. The call he got this morning would change everything

"Aaron what's wrong?" She asked drawing random patterns on his chest while they were on his couch

"Nothing em."

"Aaron" she glared at him

"I'll tell you but you have to listen to me first. All of it. Okay?" Aaron said

"Okay" Emily replied sitting up in his lap

"The morning I got the call from Clyde saying your training was being extended I was so upset. That night I went to a bar and had a couple of drinks" he stopped taking a breath he knew the next part would hurt Emily. He put his hands on her waist and drew circles with his thumbs

"Hayley came in and while I went to the bathroom she slipped something in my drink."
Emily's eyes immediately softened and she cupped his jaw

"What. Baby you pressed charges right?" She questioned

"Emily it would just make the situation worse"

"What situation Aaron she drugged you." Emily raised her voice a bit slightly frustrated

"Emily, what I'm going to tell you next" he stopped taking another breath
"Just listen to me first" he sighed

"She drove me home and while I was asleep. She... well I'm not still not sure what she did but we had sex while I was sleeping"

"Aaron she raped you." Emily said tears in her eyes. She felt so bad for him

"Emily she's 3 months pregnant"

"What?" she asked her voice broke

"I'm so sorry I should have been more careful"
Aaron apologised taking her hands in his

"I have to go" Emily said and abruptly got up

"Emily please" he begged grabbing her wrist which was the wrong choice she immediately got flashbacks from when Doyle would threaten her

"Aaron I just need some time. Please let me go. Go be with Hayley." She said crying as she practically ran out his apartment to her car

As soon as her car door closed she broke down. The sound of rain could hardly be heard over her sobs. Hayley was always much more of Aaron's type than Emily was and now Hayley was pregnant with Aaron's baby. Emily knew she had to end things before they got worse

"Emily please listen to me" Aaron begged knocking on her window

Unlocking the door he got in the car

"I just need some time Aaron. Please just give me some time." She said

"I love you Emily please we can work this out."

"I don't know Aaron. Please just give me some time" Emily repeated again

"I'll see you at work then" Aaron said getting out of the car as Emily started it

Aaron had never felt so bad in his life. He love Emily more than life itself. He couldn't loose her.
