Midoriya's Scars

Chapter 5

I sighed as I entered the class. Iida looked over at me and said, "Please remove the bandage!" I shake my head. "Ain't happening, prez." I sigh and class starts. All Might enters in a very tacky outfit. Everyone is shocked but I'm not. All Might is cool and all, but I'm not a fan. He starts talking about hero training and I smile.

As I was about to leave, All Might stopped me. "Young Midoriya, please wait." I turn and look at him. "Yes sir?" He sighs. "I was wondering if you need me to give you help sin-" I stop him. "Listen. I don't need anyone to lower the bar for me because of some genetic fact that I don't have a superpower. Treat me like a normal student." I walk off.

This is bad. I'm doing a hero battle thing with Uraraka by my side and Iida and Kacchan as villains. I look at her and say, "I'll distract them. If you can get to the bomb, we can get this over with." She nods. "Good luck Midoriya-kun!" I nod and we start the exercise. I enter the main area fairly easily. "Hello~! I'm waiting!" I call out as Kacchan comes barreling from my right.

"Die Quirkless loser!" I dodge and bring out my staff. He growls and charges at me again, explosions in his palms. I hit him in the gut with my staff and he fell to the ground. "Geez. It's rude to tell someone to go die, Bakugou." He growls. "Shut up! I don't need a quirkless cheater getting in the way!"

I laugh and trip him again as the alarm goes off. "Heroes win!" I sigh and put my staff up. "Listen. I earned the right to be here just like you, so shut your fucking mouth about me cheating."

Everyone was talking around me and I heard one of them say, "Midoriya, that was awesome!" I turn and look to see the red head, Kirishima smiling. "That was totally manly the way you just dodged Bakugou's attacks with ease!" I shrug. "Thanks. I've been training in martial arts for years."

USJ. Our next major hero class. We were on a bus and were on our way to the Joint. Everyone was chatting and I was joining in when I wanted too. But something was bothering me. All those years on the streets has made me very aware of when something might go wrong. And I'm going to die from all this bad feeling I felt.

As we parked and got out, I looked at the building. It was large and expansive. We walked in and Pro hero 13 was telling us about everything when I froze. In the background on a giant pillar...was mist. "No no no no no" I started saying. Everyone looked at me. "Midoriya are you okay?" 13 asked. I point to the portal and whisper, "The league of Villains are here..." I heard him before I saw him.

"Hello there! I see that All Might isn't here. A shame! Why don't we call him with some deaths?!" Portals came, villains appeared, and everyone separated. I start panicking when I'm dragged through one. I'm in his arms. "S-Shig-" I said, about to cry. "Hello Izuku. I never expected you to be here." I can't move. It's all over. He moves his hand to my neck.

One finger. "Of course it's all thanks to you that we have this Nomu." Two fingers. "But then again, you ran from me and sensei." Three fingers. "So, I think it's time to say goodbye." Four fingers-I look and see EraserHead collapsed from fighting the nomu. SAVE HIM! I swept my legs, causing Shig to fall. I jumped, grabbing my staff and turning it into a spear as I fell.

I stab it into the brain, causing it to scream. I dug it deeper into the brain as it reconstructed itself. I hear Aizawa yell, "What are you doing?!" It thrashes, but I don't let go. "Saving your ass!" It grabs the spear and flings us into Aizawa. I get up, groaning. "Fucking stupid monster." I grab my staff and charge at it again, opening a small bottle from my belt. I run around it and pour gasoline around it's legs.

I dodge the punch and light a match. I toss it and his legs catch on fire. I laugh then turn. Shig was going to destroy Sensei. I'm too far away, I need to-I grab my mask and throw it straight at his head. He falls, then turns. "YOU!" He charges and I dodge. "You can't escape me!" I whack him in the face with my staff. We engage in a fight and in comes All Might.

He punches the nomu, destroying it in one hit. "I AM HERE!" Shig screams. "NOOOOO! This was supposed to be able to kill All Might!" He turns and grabs my staff, dusting it. As a portal comes closer, he says, "You won't get away with it, you ungrateful brat!" He disappears. I fall to my knees, all the stress coming in at once.

I hear voices, but I'm trying not to tear at my face and arms. Calm down, Calm down, Calm down! Come on, don't panic, you got through him, you're fine! I take breaths, scratching at my missing eye, blood forming. I feel something on my shoulder and I scramble away. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" I yell, tears forming in my eye. I blink them away and see that it's EraserHead.

I curl up and start singing to myself. Slowly I calm down. Everything is fine. I'm okay, and no one died. You protected everyone. "You were brave and saved everyone. I'm proud. I'm proud." I look up and see that Aizawa was a small distance away and had said that. I nod, getting up. "Are you okay?" I nod again.

"W-What happened to your eye?" He asked. I lifted my hand to my eye and felt blood. I gasp. I rummage through my belt and quickly bandage up my eye. "You need to go to recovery gi-" All Might said loudly. I flinched and then started signing. 'Please, don't worry. I'm fine. I-I'm going to go.' I walked off before they could say anything.
