"What are you doing back here?"
Felix was surprised to see his blond haired cousin back at his workplace as he had not told Felix that he was going to visit and it was only two days after his first visit.
"Can't I stop by to say hi to my favorite cousin?" Chan asked as he leaned against the front desk.
"Yeah right," Felix rolled his eyes, not believing Chan's pretty lame answer. "Explain yourself."
"Fine," Chan sighed. "Your mom asked me to check in on you. She's worried that without her living with you, you'll have a hard time...
"Especially since your Korean isn't exactly fluent."
"Oh shut up," Felix retorted, swatting at Chan with a random folder. "My Korean is perfectly fine. I don't know why my mom's worrying, I'm literally fine."
"Yeah, but you can't blame her for worrying," Chan shrugged. "She is your mom after all. Plus we can just get a coffee or something at one of those cafés"
Felix groaned in response, but gave up arguing in the end.
His mom had to move back to Australia to the rest of their family after staying with him in Korea for a good year or so. He missed her, but he enjoyed the freedom.
Let's dance the night away!
Both Aussies flinched in surprise as Felix's phone began to play the song, signalling his 14:30 alarm went off.
Felix quickly turned off the alarm and began to walk down the long corridor again, Chan trailing him immediately.
"I see your alarm still hasn't changed," Chan teased lightly as they walked into the dull rickety old elevator, Felix pressing the same button as he had two days before.
"Never!" Felix exclaimed in response. "I am a Once forever!"
"Oh god," Chan sighed, realizing what he started.
Thankfully, the elevator opened and interrupted Felix's rant on his love for the beloved kpop girl group. They walked down the hall and Felix opened the door that Chan immediately remembered, suddenly feeling a bit excited at the familiarity.
"Jeongin!"
Felix cheered out as they both entered the room, greeted with the sight of Jeongin sitting up once again in the hospital bed, but this time with a book in his hands. "I'm just here to check on your monitors quickly."
"Hi hyungs!" Jeongin greeted back, still as cheerful as ever, noticing Chan's presence as well.
He didn't seem to take any notice of Felix observing the monitors intently and occasionally checking on the tubes that were connected to Jeongin on various areas of his upper body.
"Hey kid," Chan greeted as he stood closer to Jeongin's bed than he did the first time he met him.
He still didn't know Jeongin very well so he settled on addressing him as "kid" as his youth was definitely highly defined on his facial features.
"Good to see you again Chan hyung!" Jeongin exclaimed, setting the now forgotten book on the small bedside table to his right.
He quickly motioned for Chan to sit on the chair next to his bed, clearly excited to have a visitor other than one of the nurses or his parents.
"Same here," Chan merely responded, easily slipping into the slightly stiff and uncomfortable chair.
"Did you just finish work or school?" Jeongin asked in curiosity, wondering why a 20 year old would be spending his afternoon at the hospital.
