the group out in the living room counted down. I could mostly hear Kuroo and Bokuto. I watched from my phone while I rocked our baby crow to sleep. He had woken up with all the fire works.

This year had been a rollercoaster of emotions. The virus. Me officially quitting my job. Starting a new one as a writer. Being a mom.. Dad.. A parent to a wonderful baby. And finally getting an answer to my past.

The small crow stirred in my arms moving his tiny wings against the blanket. I loosened the hold of the blanket a little so he could stretch them. How blessed I was this year to have him.

But the next year would be even better. Me and Bokuto would celebrate five years of marriage. Hinata would turn one. We'd have the Kuroken wedding to look forward to.

I yawned slightly watching the clock, the excitement in the living room growing. I enjoyed being a less people, and not as noisy. Crowds weren't my thing.
