I had a meeting early in the morning so I had to leave Bokuto with Hinata. Hopefully when I returned they'd both be alive. I stepped into the editor's building. Checking in at the front desk. Then went back to my bosses office.
" Mr. Kōtarō" He stood up from his seat bowing. I bowed in response.
" Have a seat" He motioned to seat on the opposite side of his desk. I took the seat taking out my folder.
" What have you come up with so far? We had to postpone your dead line for two weeks after you missed it. "
" I-.. It's short, and sir. I don't want to be stuck writing children books! I can push myself I know I can-"
" Mr. Kōtarō! You will write kids books till I see the potential for you to write a better book. I know what you can do Mr. Kōtarō. And I want to wait till I know your truly at your best for writing " He  took my book and thumbed through it.
" Explain to me what the story is " He sighed.
" I-its um.. " I started playing with my fingers.
" A crow.. H-he grew up in a family of crows, but he knew he was different. He didn't fit in, and he wanted to find out who he truly was... S-so he spent time with other animals.. Till he finally decided he-he belonged with owls.. " I looked up from my hands seeing my publisher staring at me.
  " It's about your son"
" It's about my son... " He gave a sigh then handed me back my folder.
" It's a good story Kōtarō. I love the inspiration behind it. I really do. I just don't think it'll sell. But.. Because you're my favorite author. I'll have it sent in. " I jumped up looking at him.
" Y-you'll try it! Oh my god! Thank you Mr.Tara! " I hugged him before he let me go.
" And keep my godson out of trouble! Like that first word of his " He laughed and waved me off as I left. He and his wife had known me since I was three. So it felt fitting for him to be Hinata's  godfather.
When I arrived home I sighed opening the door praying the house was still clean.. Kinda.
" I'm ho-" I was cut off by the sound of a guitar. The soft hum of a voice flowing with it wrapping me in a warm blanket of comfort. I silently made my way to the nursery. Poking my head in slight. Hinata lay asleep in his crib. Bokuto on the floor his back against the crib. His old Donner in his hands. I watched his fingers dance along the neck holding different chord shapes. His free hand strumming through the chords of metal. The beautiful noise I hadn't heard in years.
"Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changin' ocean tides?" That soft rich voice pulling my heart strings like the instrument he played. I stayed at the door listening to him. My feet softly moving along with the words. I swept away dancing through the song his voice all I needed to feel. But it all ended. I came up to me placing a hand on my waist. Mine finding his shoulder. We held our free hands out together as he led the dance.

He hummed softly as we waltzed in the small room. The song playing in our hearts.

Oh-oh, take my love, take it down
Oh-oh, climb a mountain and you turn around
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well, the landslide bring it down
