After Mirio and Sir Nighteye laid the groundworks for Izuku's brief work study under the latter's tutelage that afternoon, before Mirio had to half carry the now exhausted Izuku back to the train, and back to his dorms. "Well, did you have fun at least?" Mirio asked the boy slumping in the train seat.
"...yeah I guess, but did you guys need to beat me up to do it?" Izuku asked, wincing every time the train shifted slightly.
"Well, it means you'll never make those mistakes again! With the rate you learn at, that took no time! I got beat up at least thrice as much, and can you imagine how much Bubble Girl got beat up in the process?" Mirio smiled at Izuku, oddly cheerful.
"Good point. But what will we do next?"
"I expect you'll probably end up going on patrol with myself, so I can show you the ropes of interaction with civilians. Maybe we'll put our licenses to use!" Mirio said enthusiastically, "I've always been better at interacting with people than Sir!"
'Can't imagine why,'
"Sounds good Mirio..." Izuku said, holding in another wince and fighting the urge to yawn in tiredness. It didn't help he had to be pushing his quirk to it's limits the entire time, his energy was running really thin at this point. At least it wasn't too much longer and he wouldn't need to do anything tomorrow. Instead of giving him more work, Nezu had opted to focus on his combat and interactions, so he had several cameras and sensors on his suit so they could gather experimental data for the two of them to work with.
Mirio just chuckled at the tiredness in Izuku's voice, before the two fell into a comfortable silence, occasionally interrupted by light commentary on the passing scenery or random questions Izuku had regarding what to expect.
Once off the train, Mirio had both their hero cases, one in each hand and Izuku tried to not fall asleep standing up. It wasn't that long of a walk but it seemed that Izuku wasn't making it. Mirio frowned at this, and told him to relax as they came up to a bench.
Izuku was going to try and say he was fine, but ended up being pushed down by Mirio's arm, who hardly had to do anything to push the boy to the bench. "Come on man, it'll be no trouble. Lemme just make a quick call, and we'll be back on our way, yeah?" Mirio asked.
"Mmk. And... thanks Mirio."
"It's nothing man, chillax,"
Nejire was on the walk home from the train station, happily bouncing along as Uraraka and Asui walked alongside her. The two seemed quite close and happy, so Nejire was happy to just leave them be. "Thank you so much for the recommendation Nejire-senpai!" Uraraka said to the girl who was resisting the urge to fly.
"It was nothing! Besides, you two are really cute and really good!" She beamed at them, "And drop the whole 'senpai' thing, you can be more casual!"
"Alright Nejire, call me 'Tsu then," Asui told her.
"Mmhm, and call me Ochaco!"
Nejire just smiled at them, before feeling her phone vibrate in her pocket. She pulled it out and saw the caller ID as Mirio.
"Mirio? What did you need?"
A short conversation later, she bid farewell to the younger students as she ran off in a different direction to go find where Mirio and Izuku were. The two shrugged it off as Nejire being Nejire, but it didn't really matter any way.
'Wait, Mirio didn't tell me where they were!'
Another phone call later, Mirio was looking after the two cases whilst Izuku tried to avoid falling asleep.
