From the Wood//s1

Steph

I groaned softly when I slowly opened my eyes to the bright sky with trees pointing up to the sun.

I sat myself up on the cloth laying in the dirt. I grunted when I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder.
I looked down at my bandaged shoulder and saw Iris laying unconscious next to me in her sleeping bag. She was covered in gauzes and bandages.
"Iris?" I said softly.

"Steph!" Aphrodite rushed to my side. "You can't be putting pressure on your arm." She rested her hand on my back.
"I'm fine." I said when Leo got down next to Aphrodite with a small cup.
"Here. I packed herbs for our mission." He said.
"Thanks." I held the warm cup of tea in my free hand. "How are the others?" I asked.

"Iris has just minor injuries." Athena said setting a pillow under Iris' head "Lynn has some burns on her side but not severe. You just got stabbed in the shoulder but good thing you didn't loose a lot of blood. "

I sighed "At least no one got severely injured." I said and peered at the rest of the team sleeping in their bags.  "Lynn's family is a big concern." I looked back at Athena "I know you said that they aren't out mission but, they make it seem like they are. I'm just concerned for our team's safety."

"I'll worry about that." Athena said "You just worry about resting."
"Okay." I sighed.

Athena

I walked to our bags when my ears twitched. I grabbed my bayard from my armor laying on my bags.
It transformed into a spear.

Leo

"What's going on?" I asked and we both looked back at Athena.
"Flynn." She said to him at the tents. "Set shields."

Without answering he followed her orders. Flynn threw his hand out to the sleeping members and raised his hand up, making his powers shield them.

I looked back at us with Steph and Iris and he did the same for us.

Steph

I held myself up by my arms and we all had our attention to Athena walking closer to the woods.

"Steph?" I heard Iris' soft and weak voice call out my name.
I quickly turned to her and saw her squinting from the bright sun.

Athena

I gripped onto my spear tighter but deformed my bayard. I powered up as I threw it on the floor.

Aphrodite

"What is she doing?" I said as Leo was assisting Iris.

Athena

The shadowy figure I sensed came sprinting at me.
I pulled my hands back and pushed them back out, manipulating the ground to shoot my unknown enemy back.

They jump and twisted their body sideways to avoid the hit.
They looked at me and shot their powers at me.
I moved my body to dodge and expanded my wings.
I flew into them and held them down with my body.

I ripped their cloak off and saw a face I haven't seen in over 12 years.

Leo

"How did you get here?" I asked Reese as I gave her a cup of hot water.

"Apollo and I were stuck on that planet we had a mission on for at least 9 years. I was kidnapped and soldiers brought me here so they can trick their leader into thinking I'm some criminal they were looking for. I was proven the wrong person and they let me go. I've been living in the city for the back 3 and when I heard about the attack at the market, I had a feeling it was y'all. "
"Then why did you attack?" Flynn asked.
"I'm a Green. The first thing we go is attack."
The original team members looked at each other and shrugged in agreement.

"Do you know if Apollo is still there?" Athena asked softly.

Anthony

I was slouched over my knees and looked at Athena with fear in her eyes.

I sat up straight and looked at Reese. "I don't know, kid." She shrugged. "I've been trying everything in my power to contact him but, I don't even know how far away I am from our crash site."

Athena pushed herself up from her spot in the dirt and walked into the woods.
"I got it." I said as Aphrodite was about to go after her sister.

"Athena?" I called her name out as I looked passed the trees and plants.
I could feel her depression and lost courage, when I heard soft whimpers. "Athena?" I rested my hand on a tree and peered behind it to see Athena with her knees to her chest.
She didn't reply.

Athena

Anthony didn't say anything and just sat next to me while he pulled my body to him.
"It's okay." He whispered in my ear and rubbed his hand on my back. "He's still out there."

I sobbed quietly and hugged him tightly.

Chris

"Atlas just has spies from the other planets contact them and; they got nothing." Athena said at are team meeting that night.
"So...what's our plan?" I asked.

"Steph, Iris and Lynn still need to heal a bunch and we should lay low." Athena said. "If Lynn's family finds us, it's better to keep the fight in one area. We'll stay here till we can find another place on this planet to stay." Athena laid out the map of the planets we had been assigned to. "We have one place to go and that's our mission."

"Wait!" Reese said. We all went silent. "The crash. That's where we crashed."
Athena's eyes lit up.

"I have friends that are travelers." Reese said. "They know a bunch of places where we can stay safe for a while."
"That's great." Lynn said.
"I'll see when they're free."
"Let's rest up." Athena said.
