Atlas Elites//s3

2 months later

Kristen

Willow, Alice, Anthony, Athena, Steph, Iris, and I sat nervously in the auditorium waiting for the results of the Atlas Officials Exams.

Atlas Officials are split into 6 squads. Atlas Ellites are chosen to be leaders of each department.
1. Officers (highest rank)
2. Pilots
3. Medical
4. Tech
5. Engineer
6. Protection

Officers are basically in charge of everything that happens in Atlas. Like if any Atlas member is trying to do something wrong it will be reported to the Officers Squad. Then the Elites will take care of the situation.
The Officer Squad is the smallest. There's The Official Elite, Official Elite Partner, The applicants, The reporters.

With all the Elites together we make The Atlas Official Squad.  This group is in charge of  everything and anything that happens at Atlas.

Athena is the OE and Anthony takes the OEP.  Flynn takes a job as both a reporter for the Officer Squad and the Captain in the Engineering Squad. He keeps his eyes up in the ES and will report anything to the OS.
Same situation goes for Chris in the tech, Lynn and Iris in protection and Nora in medical.

About 1,000 people in each department apply but only two are chosen to lead each group. Once you are officially a leader of a squad you become and Elite.

We all got into the department we applied for.
Athena and Anthony, Officers. Willow, Pilot. Steph and Alice, tech with Iris in of course protection. I took the medical. The others on our team are in higher ranks in the squads just not Elites. Like Flynn; he's the captain of the ES.

Athena

Anthony and I celebrated by just staying home all day and watching movies on the couch.

Anthony

I could sense her feeling stressed and down. "Are you okay?" I asked.

Athena

"There's no point in saying yes-" I sighed. "One of the main reasons I applied to be an AO is to finally please my parents. To show them that I'm someone to be proud of. But, at the ceremony I could see their faces in the crowd, well the front row really. They still had that same face of disappointment like I should being doing something more. I trained and studied to the point of being sleep deprived and there's still so much more they want from me. And not just me, from Apollo and Aphrodite. I think they pressure me a majority of the time simply because of my powers. Like I have control over how much radiation blood I have in me."

Anthony

She sat forward with tears running down her face. I silently pulled her body onto my chest and laid down on the couch, letting her cry on me. "It's okay." I whispered and pat her head. "You're enough. You're more than enough. They missed out in one of the most perfect person's life and that's their fault. You can only go so far and that's fine. We all have our limitations. You're so perfect. More than perfect." She snuggled her face on my chest and sniffed.
"I love you." She said.
"I love you too."

Eventually she fell asleep but her ears fluffed.

Athena

I woke up to my first official day as an Atlas Elite Officer.
I scratched my head as I made my way to the bathroom.

Anthony

I heard Athena scream from the restroom as I was putting on my vest for my uniform.
"What's wrong?!" I nearly tripped at the door.
"My-my ears! My galra side is glitching or something." She said in distress.
"Hey, hey." I said and rested my hand on her shoulder "Calm down."
"Calm down?!" She panicked "I can't be like this in my first day!"
"Athena!" I said with a stern tone and facing her towards me. "You are perfect either way." I rested my hand on her cheek. "Galra or human or whatever. Don't worry about it. I'll be by you all day so I'll be there to protect you."
She whimpered and her ears flopped.

Athena

I had my head down but suddenly felt Anthony scratch behind my ears.

Anthony

Athena whimpered and blushed shutting her eyes and holding her ear to her shoulder.
"Stop." She squeaked and looked at me with one eye open.
I chuckled and pulled my hand back. "Sorry. I couldn't help it."

Willow

I checked into the Atlas Elites' stationary saw Athena wearing a hoodie over her uniform.
"You know you can't wear a hood over your uniform?" I sat next to her on the couch while Anthony and the others were eating.
She didn't reply.

Kristen

I was eating a bagel when Willow pulled the hood over Athena's head to reveal Athena's galra glitch.
"Hey!" Athena yelled.
"Oof." Willow said. "Yeah let's just," She slowly pulled the hoodie back over Athena.
I could hear Alice and Steph snickering behind me.
"At least you really don't have to work today." I said.
"True." Athena shrugged.
"Speaking of..." Willow checked her watch "I have to head to work." She grabbed her bag and rested it on her shoulder. "See y'all later at the party." She said and left the room.
"There's a party?" Athena said in confusion.
"Oh yeah." Alice said "The previous Elites are holding a party for us. Well it's really a party for everyone in our favor."
Athena groaned and laid her head in her arms. "Do I have to go?"
"I mean..." Steph said. "All three of us do."
"Is it formal?"
"Yeah." I responded.
Athena groaned but didn't move.
