My sweats were falling as the heat of the sun was touching my skin. I was catching my breath as I was chasing my dog, Marly. Supposedly I was going to have a calming walk with him but sad to say it turned out to be a big mess.
"Marly, don't. Stay still! Boy, please sit."
I love dogs but it seems like dogs don't love me. I stopped for a while letting Marly go, he was roaming and running around the field. I was so tired that I didn't care at all if he might bite someone.
"Ouch. Let me go! " a child was screaming.
I was just sitting, listening to the noise of the surroundings. I need to think, I need to take a rest. I want to go home but I can't. My mind was just floating in the air. Until someone approached me.
"Excuse me, it seems like you're having a great time observing the environment while your dog is also having a great time biting my daughter! How irresponsible of you." He said.
His brows were raising and his eyes were so deep to dive in, he was so mad. He seems like a man in his 30's. He was just there standing and shrieking in anger.
"Sir, it's not my fault. It's the dog's fault. How can you blame me? Am I the one who bit your daughter? Anyways, don't worry I'll cover all the expenses for the medicines and stuff that are needed" I proclaimed.
I gave him the money and started to find my dog. My mind was in a vast contemplation, I was thinking about things. I was so exhausted and just texted my driver to pick me up and get Marly.
I was all sweaty, the sweats were absorbed by the sports bra that I am wearing. I quickly changed inside the car while our driver was getting Marly. A plain white oversized shirt was paired with black shorts and my sneakers. Walking Marly made me gaunt, so I needed to retouch. After a few minutes, Kuya Kael finally caught Marly. I was planning to meet Lydia, my friend in a coffee shop.
"Kuya, just drop me off at the mall. I'm meeting Lydia today."
He nodded.
As the engine started, I was just so bored observing the trees, cars, and buildings outside. Until a big crash creates an impact on our car and a tricycle, outside. Kuya Kael talks to the man, but the man was too furious that he might punch Kuya Kael. He was so mad, his ears were turning red. And his eyes were strongly suffocating the manliness of Kuya Kael. I was just so amazed that a man that looks so young would have the guts to fight Kuya Kael. He punched Kuya Kael and that made me alarmed. I jumped out of the car.
"Hey, what's your problem? He already apologized and don't you worry will pay the damages as long as you will also pay the damages you've caused to our car." My brows were raised as I feel the tension
His jaw clenches, as his eyes stare at me from head to toe, his gazes were too sharp like it's stabbing my skin. He takes a deep breath and stares at me. He steps his one foot and he slowly goes near to me. Until he was too close to my face, I can feel his warm breath. It made me see his complete facial features that are too perfect. He draws near to me, I step back. But at the back of me was the car. He whispered to my ears. I can smell his machismo from his scent.
"I don't need your money. You can keep it." He said as he carries his broken tricycle with a look of disappointment.
I went back to my car and so does Kuya Kael. And I asked him.
"Kuya, what did you told him? Why was he so angry?" I asked him
"Nothing, ma'am." He starts the engine, and as the car starts to leave, I steal a glance at that boy. He was fixing his tricycle until our eyes met. He grins.
What a tiring day it is.
