"You leave me breathless every time I see you." George said, his palm laid on the back of Stevie's hand. "I've picked something out for you."

"Oh? You've already bought me jewelry for a lifetime." Stevie forced a smile and fought back against pulling her hand away from his touch.

"It's not that this time." He shook his head slightly. "I thought, we could switch things up a bit tonight. And you could try it on. I'm sure, you'd like some privacy for that."

Stevie gulped. Things were not going according to plan. What happened to dinners? What did he want from her now? She suddenly remembered her dream, but quickly tried to push it out of her mind.

"Really? What do you have planned for us?" She chuckled nervously.

"I have a hotel room booked for us." George replied casually as he took out his wallet to cover the bill. "I'm not going to force you into anything, we'll just see what happens."

Her foot itched, she wanted to kick him in the shin and run. "Or we could take a walk?"

He shook his head. "No, I don't want any distractions. Besides, I'm sure you wouldn't want someone to see us together. I'd love to, but I can't have that happen either unfortunately. Shall we?"

"I, uh, I have to use the bathroom. I'll be right back." Stevie stood up without giving him the chance to get a word in.

Stevie locked herself in the bathroom and took out her phone. She had to let Lindsey know, what was going on. He didn't pick up right away and her heart started thumping. Relief washed over, when she heard his voice on the other end of the line.

"Thank God!"

"What's wrong? Are you doing okay?"

"He's taking me to a hotel, Lindsey. I don't wanna do this!"

"That bastard." Lindsey sighed. "I'm sorry, but you're gonna have to go with it. I'm still at the office, talking things over with Jeffrey, making copies of what we've got. But Greg is outside the restaurant, he's been taking pictures of that jerk getting handsy with you. I'll let him know to follow you. I'm also tracking your phone, so I'll know, where you're at. Okay, Stevie? I promise, this will be the last time you have to be around that man."

"I hope so." Stevie replied.

"I know so. I'll text you, when I'm near and you send me details of where he takes you exactly, okay? I'll need the number of the room."

"I will. I have to go now, I don't want to take too long. I love you."

"I love you, too. Everything's going to be fine."

Taking a deep breath, Stevie made her way back to George, making sure to touch him as she passed by him. He looked up and smiled, rising to his feet. His arm slid around her waist as he led them outside.

"Isn't it so much better, when you've stopped fighting me?" George asked, opening the car door for her. "I'm not that horrible, am I?"

Stevie voiced her agreement and let her smile fade, until he walked around the front and got in behind the wheel. She hoped that Lindsey was quick enough and Greg was behind them, when George began driving.

"You make me feel young again." He said, stopping at a red light, he reached for Stevie's hand and pressed his lips against each knuckle, while she sat quietly, anxious for this to end.

The drive didn't take long and George seemed pretty giddy, once they reached the reception. With the key card in hand, he walked her towards the elevators. There was a notable age difference and they attracted some attention, which made Stevie feel ill. People probably thought he was her sugar daddy or she was simply a call girl.
