(Squip's P.O.V)

Things have been so awkward since our fight. I'd say it wasn't much as a fight as it was a Quarrel. I was stupid and immature at that moment. I shouldn't have walked away. Or lied to her. Or blamed her for something I forgot. I lost my temper. But I'm glad that she genuinely accepted my apology.

Now we're in Target.

Literally, no popular kids or anyone who would spread rumors would shop here. Especially on Thursday. I don't know why the fact that it's Thursday is important. It's not the weekend I guess.

So, because of that, I got to go out with (Y/N) in human form. We went there to get some Valentine's stuff and just look around.

We barely spoke.

I'm still against the idea... But... I'm not in control of her. All I can do is tell her my opinion, and see what she does with it.

I don't know whether getting here a week earlier is good or bad. All the Valentine stuff was in stock. Of course, it was, we were about a week early. I wish we weren't. Then nothing would be here and she wouldn't be able to get anything for Kennedy.

Pretty much no one was here. Creepy.

"Should I get you some clothing?" (Y/N) asked, looking over at the men's section. "You only have that outfit,"

"Oh- um... Maybe, let's see what they have here," I stammered.

She nodded, walking over to the men's section. "They have a men's section in H&M if you want to wait until we can go to the mall so there's a maybe better selection,"

She's definitely hung up on the fight. She's very awkward and she's mumbling and uncertain.

"Probably a good idea, but we can get some clothes here for the meantime," I decided.ts.

She nodded.

I looked over all the clothing they had. None of which really caught my attention. I'm more into the formal look. Button-ups and such. Maybe some plain shirts with nice-looking jackets. Yeah.

"Do you like any of this stuff?" She asked.

"A few," I answered, looking through the button-ups. The casual ones, can't be formal all the time. "I mean it's not bad here,"

"Yeah," (Y/N) mumbled, walking next to me. "Is this the only stuff you into?"

"This is the 'stuff' I prefer," I said.

"Is it comfortable? What about pajamas? Or sweatshirts and sweat pants? Even I have that stuff-" (Y/N) spoke up a little louder. "Can we go on a shopping haul for you?"

"What-" I stammered. "Where will you put these clothes- What will your mom think?"

"She doesn't have to see, I'll put them in my closet, my mom doesn't look in my closet,"

"That often," I added.

"I'll find a place to hide them, just trust me," (Y/N) smiled.

I sighed as I looked through some more clothing.

"Okay, you need the essentials. Pajamas, you need hoodies, you have to get at least a couple of normal t-shirts," (Y/N) said, holding on to my arm.

"Plain ones, only white, gray, or black ones," I said, scanning over the men's section to see if I could find any plain shirts.

"What about jackets? Or-"

"Just, formal, plain, and or neutral ones," I said, walking over to some pants.

"Please don't say- Oh shit," (Y/N) murmured. "Laundry! Somehow I'm gonna have to do your laundry without my mom seeing clothes that my step-dad would never wear,"

"You know how they've gone about every Saturday night because they play poker? Do it then," I say, looking through some formal looking pants.

"Anyways, shit- what was I gonna say," (Y/N) paused for a moment. "Yes! Are you gonna wear jeans? Please say no,"

"Why the hell would I wear jeans?" I rolled my eyes, as I put some pants in the cart.

"What about those sports shorts that are vibrant colors? Don't wear those either- Just- wear neutral colors, please. And, you need sweatpants, that's a must. I'm pretty sure you're like the only person I've ever meant that can pull off sweatpants and look- Yeah, just get Sweat pants,"

I nodded.

"And sweaters! And hoodies, god, This is so fun, I have another person to shop for," (Y/N) kept going on. "And I thought that shopping for girls was fun- but getting clothing for someone who has no clothing other than that outfit is gonna be so fun!"

"What-"

"And imagine all the expensive stuff for men, that I could get you, oh god- shit is gonna be fun!"

"Calm down a little," I patted her head.

"But ya gotta agree with me," She then hugged me. "I'm so excited!"

I sighed. "Um... Ah," I'm suffocating in this feeling. But that reminds me of why we came. But- That's all in good friendship, (Y/N) does not like anyone else, which I'd know because I'm in her brain.

I hugged her back.

She hugged a little tighter before backing up and looking through clothes and rambling on about random things.

I can't help but smile... I'm just glad she's happier... And the most important part about that is that she became happy around me! I'm probably just making things up in my mind, but it feels right. Like when she's mad at her mom, and the only solution is just them spending time with each other.

HOLY SHIT! And she can't do that with anyone else but her mom- Not even (F/N)! But- now it's me too! I'm as important as her mom in her eyes!

I'm way more excited about this than I should be.

"What about this?" She asked, bringing up a navy blue hoodie.

"Yes," I nodded.

"Yes," She mumbled under her breath. She quickly put it in the cart.

"Here, I need your opinion," I pulled (Y/N) aside. I didn't really need her opinion, I just needed an excuse to really be next to (Y/N). I held up to shirts. "Which one?"

"Hm... Why not both?" She asked.

"Well- just- Which one looks better?" I asked.

She took them to take a closer look. Studying them for a second, taking a look at the brand, and the price, the condition, and the overall design.

"This one," She said, handing me the navy blue button-up with the tiniest white dots I've ever seen. "I like this one a lot,"

"I was thinking that," I nodded, taking it.

"Then why weren't you able to decide?" She asked, looking right at me.

I held eye contact with her.

"I just need your approval," I said, leaning down to her.

She turned away from me. "You don't need my approval,"

I shrugged. "Well then I wanted your approval," I put my hand on her shoulder.

She gasped and pulled away from my hand. "Oh, my god! I'm sorry, I'm just a little sensitive," She mumbled, tripping over her words.

"No, no, it's okay," I cracked up a little.

That was cute.
