(Y/N P.O.V)
I walked around the mall next to my mom, things are going pretty good. I don't mind going to public places with my mom.
It makes you seem like you can't go anywhere without your parents.
Shut up! I'd rather go with my mom than no one at all.
Suit yourself.
"Hey mom, can we go get Panda Express after this?" I asked, scanning the store, my eyes landing on Rue 21.
I'm glad you shop at Forever 21, Old Navy, H&M, Dillards-
Of course Dillards, where else would I get these amazing coats? Oh! Maybe I should get a new one! White or black? Maybe red?
"Yeah, of course," My mom answered.
"Oh- Before that, can we go to Dillards?" I asked, looking at the big Dillards store. Approximately two stories tall. That's because there were two stories in the store.
I'd say... Eric stood in front of me, scanning me. I tried not to stop walking as if he wasn't a hologram. He just kept four feet in front of me, seeming to glide across the floor. Red. Dark red!
Duh. Wouldn't catch me dead in a bright red coat. I laughed slightly and rolled my eyes.
"Are you excited for school?" Mom asked.
"Well... Ahah. I mean, actually, the school won't be a problem," I answered. "But I just don't want to see some people,"
"Yeah, Lily has always been manipulative," My mom nodded, pulling out her vape pen.
Wouldn't catch me dead smoking or vaping.
I still can't believe you told your mom about your drama.
Why wouldn't I?
"Oh, we need to stop at Coach before we leave," My mom says.
"New purse?"
"New bag," My mom corrected,
"How many bags do you get a year?" I asked, looking around to try and find Coach.
"Not that many," My mom shook her head. "You just mind your own business," She booped me on the nose slightly.
I looked back at Dillard's.
You and your mom seem close. Very close. Does this affect your social status?
"No," Frick- I said that out loud. "Um... I have some homework that I have to do when I get home,"
Close one. But no, no it does not.
"You really need to stop procrastinating," My mom brought up.
"No, I'm okay. I'd rather have a quick death than a long painful one," I stammered.
I see. You talk about how good your mom is and your friends take it well.
It's hard to focus on two conversations at once.
"Well, then again, you don't really seem like the studying type," My mom sighed, shaking her head while smiling.
I smiled back at her.
"So, any boys?" Mom asked.
"What? What? No! No way, aha- Uhm," I stuttered.
