(Squip's P.O.V)

I looked outside over at (F/N)'s car pulling up, Jeremy's soon after. Michael was probably with him. Y/N was practically dragging me out of the room. I'm not ready to see her friends. The thought makes my stomach hurt. If I could lock her in her room, and lock the front door, and practically put us in lockdown, I would. But, I don't want to seem controlling.

But, I have to do this. I have to. I'm not meeting (Y/N)'s parents, I'm not meeting the president. I'm not meeting... her.

Again.

I followed Y/N out of her room and down the stairs, into the foyer. Y/N said something that I didn't quite catch. Probably because she said it quickly or I was just too worried to evening think about what she was saying.

She opened the door and gestured for (F/N) to come inside while she was already practically running inside. Jeremy and- As I guess- Michael was only getting out of the car. They had already done this once before, so I don't mind their non-enthusiastic mood.

"Hey, you ready? Like- you ready, ready?" Y/N whispered to me.

"Yeah, I'm not... worried," I lied, glancing over at Jeremy and Michael while stepping back while (F/N) walked in and of course hugged Y/N.

"Hi! I'm (F/N)," (F/N) started greeting me. "I am Y/N's best friend."

"I've heard," I nodded, holding back putting my hand out for her to shake. I way too proper for my own good. Especially with being friends with someone who's vocabulary only consists of memes.

"The party's here now," Michael announced as he skipped into the foyer, putting his hands in the air, probably expecting applause. Jeremy just looked at Michael. Hah.

"So... how's it hanging?" Michael asked.

This is one of the most awkward moments I've ever felt ever. Meeting Jeremy and Michael were less awkward than this.

Suddenly, loud music started playing as Kennedy rolled up in her car, Emily with her for some reason. That's new. I know that they're good friends or something, but I've never seen them this close.

"Get in losers, we're going shopping!" Emily referenced Mean Girls

"Oh my gosh! I love Mean Girls!" Michael whispered. I don't think anyone else heard it because no one reacted to it.

Kennedy and Emily raced each other to the front door.

"So you're Eric!" Kennedy said, Emily quickly shoving past her.

"Sorry I didn't bring my own car, something happened, I don't know, my mom gets it, but I don't. Whatever, it's getting fixed or something along those lines," Emily stammered. "That's why Kennedy had to pick me up,"

Guess that makes sense.

"So, you're Eric?" Kennedy asked.

"Oh-Um- yeah, I'm Eric,"

Awkward could not describe how it felt to be next to them. Their eyes on me, all suspicious of me. The only people who were chill about my presence were Jeremy and Michael. And sometimes Chloe. It was kind of uncomfortable, but I just had to be calm and try not to disappear and just stay in her mind for the rest of my assistance. I could tell the (Y/N) didn't even want to be there. She just wanted to be in her room, watch youtube, eat a snack, and relax. And be with me. Hopefully. I can't read her mind if I'm not in it.

Eventually, most of her friends left, leaving Jeremy and Michael. The moment (F/N) left, Jeremy and Michael both sighed in relief because they didn't have to hide the secret of who I really was. Scratch that- What I really was.

(Y/N) just told us to talk while she just did her own thing upstairs.

So here I am, sitting next to Michael and Jeremy talking about random things. It was nice to make actual friends. Not meaning to be rude, but getting to talk to someone else other than (Y/N) felt nice.

"So... tell me... ya like anybody?" I asked Michael, tilting my head a little.

"Pfft! No!" He laughed, suddenly fascinated with the air.

"Well, what does he or she look like?" I asked, reverse psychology this bitch.

"Well, for starter, they look- WAIT A MINUTE!" Michael suddenly noticed what happened.

"HAH!" Jeremy started laughing, practically wheezing. I'd be concerned even if he was the slightest of asthmatic. I couldn't even tell if he was breathing.

"Let's Uno reverse this! How about you, Mr. Squip?" Michael squinted/glared at me.

Oh. SHIT!

"Sorry, but it's a no, I don't have a crush," I said, trying to be as convincing as I could. If this didn't work I'd have to be sarcastic so they actually believe me.

"Mmm, really?" Michael asked, started to smile. Jeremy started smiling a concerning amount.

"I don't like anyone!" I pretty much shouted. "SURE! I just love someone, yep! That's totally reasonable,"

They sat in silence for a minute before glancing at each other.

"So what's their name?" Jeremy asked.

"Damn you!" I yelled.

"Who is it?" They repeated asked, pretty much getting really close to me, and close to my breaking point.

It's better to just get the truth out.

"Hold on, let me get my confidence together," I said as I practically shoved them off of me. I took a breath in, all the while feeling like I was having a panic attack.

"Okay, okay, okay," I mumbled, turning towards them. "Her name starts with a (Y-"

"It's (Y/N) isn't it?" Jeremy said emotionally.

"Do I need to spell it out for you?"

"EEEEE!" Michael and Jeremy were practically freaking out.

"Well, here's some advice-" Jeremy started, but was quickly cut off by Michael.

"He doesn't need advice, he already knows all the advice," Michael said.

"Could you like... brainwash her into-"

"NO! Why would I do that?" I asked, glaring at Jeremy.

"But, asking for a friend-"

"What friend would ask you this?"

"WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO BRAINWASH SOMEONE?"

"Yes!"

"Okay, that checks out," Jeremy sat back down.

"Hey, didn't your Squip, the Keanu Squip, brainwash you?" Michael asked, turning to Jeremy.

"Well, that was more of a slow burn," Jeremy shrugged.

"He was slowly brainwashing you," I said.

"As if a normal person would," Michael said, looking around the room again, trying to avoid eye contact from any of us.

"Well, Valentine's Day is coming up in some time," Jeremy said while giving off an unsettling grin.

"Don't you even think about it,"
