I raise my katana to block Ryker's attack, but he's too fast. His sharp talons bury themselves into my shoulder making me gasp in pain. I aimlessly swing my katana towards him, somehow gaining more energy once I heard the distinct thump of my sword meeting it's target.

As if I hadn't just left a deep gash in his stomach, Ryker claws at me relentlessy, causing me to wince in pain. My arms were flowing with endless ammounts of blood, but the adrenalin keeps me going. I swing my katana at Ryker's arm, slicing down his arm in a fluid motion. This catches Ryker's attention as he stares down at his arm.

In one fluid motion, my sword connects to his stomach again. Blood is spurting out of my shoulder so while Ryker is distracted, I study it. The skin is ripped beyond repair and the smell of my blood is wafting in the air.

Feral growls sound around me, making me look up, my head frantically moving as I see the situation I'm in. Ryker and Marly's eyes have turned a dark red and Carlos was barring his fangs, hissing lowly. I slowly step back, my shoulder completely forgotten.

They all step forward, crouching lowly. I raise my hands up, my katana still clutched in my shaking left hand. I breathe out before glancing at Stephan. He raises his eyebrows, asking a question without speaking. I nod slightly, looking around at the vampires who have slowly inched towards me. I reach up to my shoulder, brushing my fingers over the damaged skin.

I hiss as my hand comes in contact with the mess I call my left shoulder. Taking my hand away, I see that it's covered with blood. I look up fearfully again, my whole body now shaking. In fear or pain, I don't know. The adrenalin is wearing off and I can now feel the searing pain that is reverbrating from my right shoulder.

"Stop."

All the Unholy tear their blood red eyes away from me to look at their Master.

"Leave her alone," Stephan calls, watching his Blood Bound's warily. It's only now I realise that they may be his Blood Bound's, but it doesn't mean he has full control over them. Marly's eyes slowly start fading back into her original blue colour, her tiny body slumping to the floor. Carlos seems to be fighting his inner demon, his eyes changing from red to green to red.

Ryker is still breathing heavily, his eyes trained on me like a predator was to it's prey. Well, I am his prey. He breathes out, an animalistic sound that makes me shiver.

"Ryker," Stephan says in a low voice. "Leave her be, right now."

Ryker starts twitching, his eyes now also shifting from his original colour to red. Ryker was still twitching violently, scaring me even more. Stepping back, I become even more aware of the blood flowing from my shoulder and I wince in pain once again, the agonising pain from my shoulder shooting through my whole body.

One of my bloody hands clutched my katana in a vice grip whilst another shook over my shoulder, the pain too much to handle if I placed my hand on it. I could feel sweat pouring down my face, beads of it dripping down my cheeks.

My forehead hurt, a headache had seemingly formed during the short battle. I feel woozy, my vision blurring and the last I saw was Stephan barking orders to the others before my heavy eyelids shut, plunging me into darkness.

"See, now you've killed  her!"

"Excuse me, she's not dead yet."

"Yet!"

"Shut up, you idiots. Look she's waking up."

"Yeah, or maybe having an eye spasm."

I open my eyes, blinking numerous times to try. Wincing from the sudden light, I close my eyes again, shrinking away. I'm sitting up against something rough that's digging into my back. Shifting a little, I let out a small shriek as immense pain exploded from my shoulder.

"Holy crap," I let out after a few seconds.

"Yeah, you got knocked up pretty badly," a girly voice said before quickly correcting herself. "I mean not like pregnant, I mean hurt."

Opening my eyes, I see Marly blushing like a beetroot and Carlos looking at her with a strange expression. Ryder is further away by only a few steps, hands on hips. Looking at them, events started conjuring in my mind of the attack yesterday. Was it yesterday? Ryker looks perfectly unscathed, not a scratch on him.

"How long has it been?" I croak out, my throat in dire need of water.

"I don't know, like, three hours?" Carlos says, scratching the back of his neck and squinting his eyes. I stare at him, digesting the words.

Three hours.

That's pretty good, I guess. I go to stand, but slump back onto the ground as burning shot through my arm. I cry out in pain, a sound not heard often from me. Carlos was at my side in barely a second, his hands hovering over my body. Marly's eyes were glazed over, standing rigidly. Even Ryker seemed alert, stepping forward with panic in his eyes.

"She needs to be bitten," a calm voice spoke, seemingly close. A voice I was too accustomed with.

"Stephan," Marly calls, hesitation in her voice.

"Enough! Ryker has ripped her shoulder to shreds, she'll be dead by morning," Stephan glared at Ryker as he spoke loudly. "It  needs to be done."

Stephan's gaze finally rested on me. His eyes were, as usual, rimmed red.

"Will it hurt?"

Carlos snapped his head back to look at me. I spoke lowly, only to him.

"How much will it hurt?"

"I- I can't remember," He stutters out. "It will hurt, but not for long."

I nod, turning to look at Stephan in the darkness.

"Do it then."

WOAH.

Mkay so I know it's been two months since I've updated, but before any of you come yelling at me with pitchforks or whatever, hear me out.

I do this thing where I go to school. It's what Australians do. Amazing aye?

So, I've been working my ass of there so I've been slowly writing this and now it's done -even if it's SUPER short.
