The vampire grins, flashing his fangs as he turns his head to face me.
"Ah, my young one. To be honest, I'm suprised you're here," Stephan announces, fully aware of the attention that he is getting from the Sector 6 inhabitants.
"You know it?" Casper questions, his gaze never leaving Stephan.
"Rather. He saved my life when The Infected were coming at me," I answer, my eyes also not leaving Stephan. Last time I saw him, he was heading away from our sectors, towards The Tower, so why was he here? It was defenitely not a coincidence.
"You followed me here, didn't you?" I say accusingly, shooting death glares at Stephan. This situation could get me in a lot of trouble.
"Maybe," Stephan replies, a playful smile painted on his face. "I didn't want you to get hurt, you know our deal or have you already forgotten?
I don't answer, instead I face towards Casper and the rest of them.
"I had no idea he was following me, please believe me. I don't want any trouble at all. Stephan will be on his way and will not come back here," I plead to Casper, clearly directing the last few words to Stephan.
"I don't know, Valerie. You and him might be working together. He could be offering you something in return for a meal. I just don't know," Casper sighs, looking at the ground.
"News flash bloodbag, if I was hungry I wouldn't need some other bloodbag to help me get a meal. I could take all of you right now, but I'm not. You can thank her for that," Stephan announces, motioning to me.
Casper looks at the bloodsucker warily before clearing his throat.
"Very well, but that means you have to get off our sector. We don't want any trouble. You can take her with you though. I might believe her, but if she attracts The Unholy, we don't want her here."
Well that was such a nice way to tell me to get lost.
"I'll leave, but not with him," I say, accepting that it's time for me to go away from this sector.
I already have my sack of weapons and food with me and my katana on my back, so I just nod once and start walking away from the group. I feel a small gust of wind before Stephan is beside me. I glance at him, sighing deeply.
"What do you want Stephan?" I ask, clearly showing my want for him to leave me alone with my tone.
"Well you see, I was following you to make sure you didn't get into any trouble. You should thank me actually, I'm not the only Unholy out tonight," Stephan explains, kicking a rock with his foot as we walked along.
"I should thank you for making sure no Unholy decided to snack on me?"
"Now you're understanding!" He says in an enthusiastic voice, chuckling playfully.
I shoot me him a weird look, not used to this kind of enthusiasm from anyone. Taking a look at my surroundings, I see the Sector 5 symbol on a small stone next to a tree. I had no clue how long we had been walking before someone quietly giggled. Obviously not quietly enough as it gained the attention of both Stephan and I.
A lower voice hisses just above us, "Shut up." I instantly take out my katana and look upwards to see a girl around my age and a man standing on a tree. I glare at them, slightly disturbed as they stare back with a curiosity.
"This is her?" The man asks Stephan, earning a nod in response. The man smirks before swiftly dropping on to the ground, a light oomph sound heard as he came in contact with the hard, dirt path. The girl just giggles again also hopping down before rushing at me way too quickly for my liking.
I step back and point my weapon straight at her heart before she could come too close. She stops sudddenly, inches away from the katana. Stephan chuckles next to me, greeting the two newcomers.
"Marly, Carlos. What exactly are you doing here?"
"Well you see.." Carlos starts before being aprubtly cut off by a very excited Marly.
"We wanted to see her!" Marly pretty much squeals, oblivious to the death glare Carlos was giving her.
I raise my eyebrow at Stephan, awaiting an explanation as to why two complete strangers wanted to see me.
"These are my Blood Bound's," Stephan sheepishly tells me. "Well, two of them at least. I may or may not of told them about you."
"Blood Bound?" I ask, completely confused by the term.
"He Turned us. We were Unstationed and alone and then boom, Stephan to the rescue," Marly explains, her pale eyes wide as she speaks animatedly.
They were once Unstationed? That's hard to belive. Rethinking over her words, something struck me which made me look closely at the two strangers.
"Wait, you said Turned?"
"Yep," Marly responds, nodding her head.
Carlos doesn't speak just grins widely, purposely lengthening his fangs as his dark eyes still stare curiously at me.
"I want you to be one of my Blood Bound's, Valerie," Stephan asks, stepping away from me and standing in front of his two Blood Bound.
"Omg! Will you? I'd finally not be the only girl! Please, please, please?" Marcy exclaims, getting down on her knees and pouts. Carlos scoffs before kicking Marly in the back of the head. I'm not talking about a friendly kick either, I'm talking about a full on kick that caused Marly to go flying into a tree a few metres away.
Marly just stands up and brushes herself off, acting like she wasn't just bashed into a tree. I give her a concerned look which she just waves off.
"Carlos, stop kicking your sister please," Stephan sighs, shaking his head at the smirking man.
I sheath my katana, already comfortable around the vampires that could eat me at any moment. That brings so much reassurance.
"So will you?" Carlos asks, the smirk dropping away from his face and a serious frown replacing it.
"Will I what?"
"Let Stephan Turn you."
