Haven't written poetry in a while
I'm out of practice
What the hell rhymes with that
Cauliflower cactus
I'm kidding
I'm gonna commit a taboo
What
I was never good at lyrical poetry
But here we are again
Scribbling down the vomit of vocab stuck in the back of my brain
Unpredictability describes everything I do
Everything I create
Everything I write
Everything i say
I guess I just like to be as surprised as you
Last year is over
And this one is just beginning
Not sure what that means
But I'd like to figure it out
One gentle breeze
One sunny day
One moonlight night
One laugh
One tear
One simple breath at a time
And if you'd like to join me
Dear reader or listener
Let us discover each day
Take in all we can learn
All we can cherish
And let us make tomorrow brighter
