topaz city lights in a world so cold
sapphire smoke drifting from his lips
crystal cigarette between his fingers
ruby gash across his chest
garnet staining the front of his shirt
quartz glittering in the light
opals leaving his lungs in puffs
emeralds left his pockets before
pearls replace their space now
rose quartz beating rapid under the pain
these topaz lights of the city
are now fading to
obsidian
