I love your music
and I love what you preach
I, too, know what it's like
to not know how to be
who you are in a world not fit
for the weirdos like us

I know what it's like
to have nightmares
that consume you like sharks
or to rely on the drugs
that destroy your broken heart
or have nothing but depression left
You preach what I'm scared to share
You're a voice for the kids like us out there
We're more than what we've been through
Or who people say that we are
We're more than our faces
We're more than our scars
You've been a light in the dark
for a kid like me
When I have nothing left
but your words to cling
onto in the dark
to save myself
from the world with no place
for the kids like us
