"Of all the times to lose one of my books, right before we're leaving to head to my kingdom." I turned to see Shaye laughing at me, a bright smile on her face. I love that smile. She holds out said missing book and says "well this book was stealing your attention a little too long." I chuckle and take it, packing it away before scooping her up in my arms and spinning her around. It always made her giggle with delight when I did that.

I set her down and smile, looking into her beautiful amber eyes. "I love you my beautiful princess," I whisper softly. She smiles again, whispering back "I love you my handsome prince and brave knight."

We had spent our summer traveling, getting lost in cities, seeing sights, and I was falling in love more with the beautiful girl I planned on spending the rest of my life with. the many mystical lands we saw where an abundance of magic lived was amazing. It was all so unique and beautiful, but the best part was seeing Shaye's eyes light up with excitement.

The carriage pulled up outside our window and we were off to my home at last. It would be a two-day trip up the mountain, where we'd stay in a hotel built in the caves. A grand week-long celebration would be held for the betrothal with a lot of food and games and dancing. I couldn't wait to spoil my princess.
