My heart nearly jumped as the car stopped, I woke up and realized everyone stopped, great, what happened now? I don't have time for this, I'm hungry, I want a banana, but I don't like bananas, life is hard.
Rick left the car a few minutes ago, I opened the door to let myself out.
"Where are you going?" Asked Lori.
"He's checking on Jim." I said, as she opens her door and so does Carol. We walked to the Rv as Rick exited.
"How is he?" I asked.
"He wants to be left here." Rick's answer bewildered me.
"What?" I was confused.
"And he's lucid?" Carol clarified.
"I would say, yes." Rick says.
"Back in the camp, when I thought Daryl might be right, when you shut me down,You misunderstood me. I would never go along with callously killing a man. I was just going to suggest, we ask Jim what he wants." Dale says, so he was on my side the whole time...
"Well, I think we have his answer." I knowledge.
Shane turns to Rick, "Just leave him here and take off, I don't think I can live with that."
"It's not your choice, either of you." Lori tells them.
"Let him be with his family..." I looked down at my feet, as I think of my own family.
Shane nodded in agreement and went into the cabin with Rick, as they bring Jim out, I noticed the changes already. Sweating, fever, discoloration, weakness, shortness of breath, he's in a lot of pain because his body is shutting itself down slowly.
"Dale, do you have like a notebook or paper, something to write on?" I asked eagerly.
"Yeah, hang on." He says going into the rv, I heard some rustling, he comes back with a composition notebook. "It's empty, go right ahead."
"Thank you." I say basically slamming the book on the car and I'm starting writing down what I know. Fever's are building up heat to kill off a virus or infection, even bacteria, but if the body is too weak it will just make you weaker, if we were to give them a fever reducer they would probably die in their sleep. But white blood cell count is probably low, if we infused more white blood cells into their body it could help fight the virus- or the virus itself kills the white blood cells in order to survive...
I can't help Jim even if I was as smart as I think I am. I looked over at everyone, saying their goodbyes. The soft breeze moves strands of hair across my face, thats when I noticed the flower peaking from the grass. I plucked it and walked over to everyone, I kneeled down and held Jim's hand.
"Jim, they're waiting for you." I tell him.
He breathes in shallowly, "You remind me of my kid."
A smile reached my lips partly as I put the flower in his hand. "Give this to her then."
He nods, I can feel the tears coming so I get up walked back to the car, I wiped my tears swiftly as I sit back in the car, waiting for everyone else.

After a few hours of aimlessly staring out the window, we come to a fresh stop."Come on." Rick says getting out. I sighed and got out, sliding my gun into the waistline of my shorts. I grab hold of Carls hand, passing him to Lori, I am met by my brother who loops his fingers with mine. As we started walking past all the fly ridden bodies, I coughed from the stench, I cover my nose to keep from gagging.
"Alright, come on." Rick says as we near the front of the building.
"Stay close and stay together." Shane whisper shouts.
