Third Person's POV
It has been week since Cailey left him dumbfounded.
He was facing a lot of works in his company due to his absence these past few days. He wasn't able to attend some important meetings and deals, so he was paying the price for it.
He was standing near the window of his office, while sipping his coffee lightly. He is still thinking about his wife and the lost deals with the company, add to that Rylee's repeated teasing of him. Of course he still thinks he loves Rylee, and on the other hand he feels something for his wife whom he insists on denying, even if it is against his true feelings.
Minute later he heard foot steps and his office door opened, and it was his secretary ''Mr. Gabinson, Madame Gabinson is here!'' she said.
He walked towards his table and seated, waiting for his mother to come inside. There he saw how her mother looked so serious and went straight to his desk and asked in a low voice.
''I've heard so many issues about you and Cailey, would you like to explain what was happening?'' though she sounded calm, her temper was at the edge of exploding.
She was so furious when she heard some gossip in her son's company, she went here to visit him and wanted to ask him and his wife over a dinner, but she was only greeted with ridiculous gossips. So she had to set aside her real intention and ask her son about it.
''Mom, Cailey and I got divorced. She's not in our house anymore!'' there is no use to deny it, he thought. He knew that some of his workers were gossiping about his married life, and he was holding his pen, spinning it, thinking he should fire all the damn owner of those mouth.
But also, he thinks that it might not help either. Firing people now is not a good idea, so he decided to let it go for now. He knew also that he was being too short tempered now, and everything makes him mad. Which he barely even notice.
Upon hearing what her son's reply she immediately felt like her pressure rose, and made her want to hit her son for being stupid. She glared at him, but she knew her son very well, if something wasn't bothering him, he wouldn't do such things, like staying in his company, sipping a coffee at this hour. She knew that her son wasn't a fan of coffee, but now he's having one, and she also heard that he wasn't even leaving the company these past few days and stayed here. He was avoiding the house where he will remember his wife, who had left him!
''You what?! You divorced Cailey? Son! I know you don't love her but she was so good to you! How could you divorce her?! are you stupid? You really choose Rylee over your wifw, didn't you?'' she said, still trying not to yell at her son.''Take her back, Son! Or I'll disown you!'' she threatened.
Russell nodded, without even thinking. Even if her mother wouldn't ask for it, he would still do it anyway. And it made Madame Gabinson in a daze. She really saw how her son was acting, he was used to his son fighting back, especially when he was questioned about his relation with his wife over Rylee.
''And you should stop what you are committing with Rylee! That is so immoral, Russell! And you know how much it hurts Cailey! She's your wife, Russell, for Pete's sake!'' She continued, and again, Russell nodded, without even looking at his mother, as if he was in a deep thought.
Poor Cailey! She had to suffer in this son of mine! she thought. Later on, Russell then speak,
''I know I was stupid mom'' He said. It wasn't a lie. Although he was still not sure what was his true feelings for Cailey, but he was sure that he should take her back. No matter what. ''And I forced her, so I needed to take her back, just like you asked. So I'll do it for you'' he reasoned, while nodding his head, looking at nowhere, which only made her mother roll her eyes!
