Comeback to me, Wife!

Chapter Five

Third Person's POV

She was so busy with her work. 

It was already ten in the evening and she was still in her work. She planned to have an over time since she wasn't able to finish her work yesterday and she had to make up for it. Mindy, on the other hand went home first for she has something to do, so she said yes, and said that I'll be fine.

She touched the back of her neck and massaged it.

She wasn't able to sleep last night due to her unwavering thoughts. So she ended with no work done and was stressed. She stretched her arms and bent oh her chair. Finally, she's done with the work so she sorted the paper and got up.

She took her bag and started to walk outside the building, she bid goodbye to the security guard and took her phone and dialed for a cab. She waited 'till the cab came and when she was about to grab the door open, her hands were stopped with her phone ringing. She answered it before opening the door.

''Hello Mindy?'' she answered.

Mindy on the other line started to scream, she was frightened to hear her friend screaming and hurriedly asked her what was wrong. ''Cailey! Don't come home! Thieves! There are thieves! what the hell!'' Mindy answered, panting. She got inside of the cab and signaled the driver to go.

Mindy said that when she was out of the house to throw some garbage, she found out that she forgot to close the door and found out they were being robbed. She said that she is in the police station, so Cailey decided to go straight to the police station.

When she came there, Mindy then rushed to her and screamed again, which made some of the policemen cover their ears, and so I was. Damn this woman! How could she cream that much? I slapped her lightly in her arms, and she laughed.

''Mindy, this is no time to laugh! The house was robbed, did they catch the robbers?'' she asked and looked at the police station, searching for some suspicious one. But she found none, so she turned to see Mindy.

''They escaped, but thank God they only took some of our things!'' she said, fanning her face with her small hands.

''I'm glad you are safe! But what now? Do we have to go back now?'' she asked, worried.

Mindy shook her head immediately, she said that it was dangerous. She thinks that the robbers might comeback so going back to apartment wasn't a good idea. Mindy said that they will go to her parent's house temporarily. After they are sure that the robbers were already arrested. For the mean time, they should stay there, in Mindy's parents.

Cailey was hesitant, she doesn't want to bother Mindy's parents knowing that she was already married, well, divorced perhaps. So she said that Mindy should go back to her parent's house, while she is going to a hotel. She doesn't want to let Mindy's parents know her situation, given that they were so concerned about her. They became her second parents after her mother died. So she declined Mindy's suggestion and insisted on staying in a hotel.

Mindy doesn't want her to, but she convinced her, and later on gave up and let her. She took a cab again and went to a nearby hotel after she said goodbye to Mindy. 

But she groaned, when she realize that all the hotel she tried has no vacant rooms. She can't call her dad either at this hour. And even if she did, she doesn't like it either. Her dad has his new family, ever since she was in high school, but he didn't leave her, she was still receiving an amount of money and love from her dad. The only thing why she doesn't want to go in his house was the fact that she'll feel utterly bitter. She's gonna miss her mom just seeing Auntie Hanna. And her half sister Leanne doesn't get along with her, but Ally on the other hand, they seemed to get along.
