Comeback to me, Wife!

Chapter Seven

Cailey's POV

I went straight to the canteen when it was already lunch break.

''Ohh, My neck is very numb'' I said as I put down my lunch.

Mindy then seated beside me and massaged my back, jokingly. And said ''Well, you must gain some strength again! We are heading to some welcome party. Keep that in mind!'' she said giggling ''And I'm sure there's a drink,  and we will drink a lot!''

I just shook my head faced my food. I have so much things to think of, added to that, my new boss's weird and strange look, or was it just on my mind? Ugh. I can't help it, he seems to know something that I don't know, and I don't have any idea either. I just notice him glancing at me a few times, in these two days, and if I catch him he doesn't avoid me, instead he would just smile at me, before refocusing on the papers in front of him.

And so I decided hard not to look on his direction, as to his office were really just straight from my side, and it's all made of glass wall. His office's curtain was always open too, enabling us to see him freely. I even notice some of my colleagues glancing at his office many times, especially female ones. He would just act as if no one's looking at him. He seems aware of it, but chose not to give it attention, I think he's even enjoying it. Tsk.

But what bothers me was his actions towards me. He even told someone from my department to give me a coffee, and said it was from him. He even gave me medicine in front of my colleagues, because I felt dizzy yesterday due to the amount of work I had to do. Now my colleagues never stop on asking me with unreasonable questions and look.

''I've had enough of them!'' I murmured.

It has been just two days when he entered the company and it already made me want to pass out! Ugh! 

''I can stop by your apartment after the party, and we can sleep together again! Deal?''

Mindy suggested but I immediately shook my head and said no need. I don't want her to know that I am still in Russell's house. I know she will be mad, so I need to lie. After all, I will leave when I can find a nearby apartment. For now, I need to stay there. Tomorrow will be the dinner night, so after that, I'll leave. 

Russell didn't do anything weird, aside from looking at me and a minute later, he looked like he's lost in the world. And I can keep up for that for the mean time.

''Why? are you afraid that I would ruin your apartment? Believe me, I will! But I'll try not to! I promise!'' she said then laughed. 

''Maybe?'' I answered, giggling.

She was sure that she could find an apartment this week, and she had also acquired some apartment that are for rented so she's confident that she can soon move out from Russell's house. So she was a bit relax. 

 They soon went to a club where the manager reserved for them to celebrate a welcoming party for Mr. Ayden Benaflor. Some of the other departments came too, some didn't make it for they have things already planned. 

As for us who don't, we have to come to pay respect, and also, maybe to have some good times as well. 

 "I am so excited! I want to drink a lot now! I am so exhausted with the work so i need to freshen up my mind. And this my dear.." Mindy said, she then raised a glass of liquor and gulped it "Is the best cure!!" she softly shouted and giggled as the club were so noisy.

 I laughed with her reaction and gave her a light punch in her arm and she laughed. When I turned to get some drink, it's when I saw him look at my direction, gesturing a toast, he then gulped all the liquor in his glass. Not wanting to give malice or any meaning with his actions, I raised a glass, smiled and gave him a toast before drinking it all up.
