Among Us - Epilogue

He was back in his streaming room. 

"Phew, that was scary...Sorry chat, did I just zone off?"

The sound echoed. Then Sykkuno realised that it was Toast and Corpse saying the same sentence at the same time.

Well, it seemed like it was just a daydream. But then why was the chat spanning "No"s?

They kicked out the other players with familiar usernames after Sykkuno apologised for leaking the code. Other friends soon joined in singly until the number reached 9/10 on the bottom of the monitor.

"Should we start?" Fuslie asked Toast.

"Aren't we waiting for Rae?" Sykkuno asked.

"Oh is there a new player joining?" said Poki.

Sykkuno, Toast and Corpse were frozen. They were brought back to reality after a few seconds of continuous bombardments of questions from the other players.

"Guys, stop trolling" Toast's vocal cords were shaking, "We've been playing with Rae for more than a year now, what do you mean?"

"Rae? You mean Ray C?"

"Valkyrae? Don't you guys remember?" Sykkuno started to become desperate, "The beans? Babushka? The Amigops?"

"Sykkuno are you alright?" Lily asked.

Sykkuno didn't answer. He left the lobby and the stream and smashed his headphones onto the table. The buds bounced into his mug of coffee but he didn't freakin' care. He could also hear Toast howling in despair upstairs and Lily rushing downstairs to check on him, but Sykkuno locked the doors and opened another tab.

Google. Twitter. Youtube. Instagram. Discord. Even Twitch. He continued scrolling hopelessly down the search results until some liquid blurred his vision.

The warm, salty liquid rolled down his cheek and dripped onto the ground. Lily gave up cluelessly comforting Sykkuno through the doors and her footsteps faded as she went upstairs for Toast.

The framed photo on his desk had someone missing.
