Chapter 23 : Party

Breaking the kiss, I peered over to see the floods of people swarming into the bar. Kier stayed at my side as people high fived me and the band. I saw loads of familiar faces, like the rest of FVK.
Lawrence ran over and gave me a tight squeeze, "You were awesome out there!"
"Thanks," I blush, a violent ruby red on my cheeks.
"You're so lucky she's yours," He turned to Kier and winked.
"Yeah, yeah I am," Kier smiled at me and wrapped a gentle arm round my waist.

Soon the 'small' party was in full swing, Neon lights were flashing everywhere, people had drinks in their hands and were dancing quite a bit, swaying from side to side. You could see some of them were obviously a bit tipsy.
As my eyes scanned the room, they landed on a couple in the corner, one a Male and one a Female. The male had soft and brown eyes and a chocolate brown crop of hair to match and was kissing the female's neck, her head was arched to one side, her scarlet red hair tumbling down in waves.

I tore my eyes away from the couple and wandered over to the bar.
"Can I have a vodka coke please?" I ask the bartender, giving him my wide eyed, puppy dog look.
"Sure," He agreed, making my drink.
'You want ice or anything?" He added.
"Yes please," I murmur, as he did so.
"That'll be £5.50 please," I began to fumble through my purse for the money, until a figure stopped me.
"I'll pay for that," The figure's voice sounded familiar. Glancing up, I gasped.

Jeremy.

"Oh... h-hey," I bit my lip hard, hard enough to taste blood in my mouth.
"You're with him now?" He asked, no hesitation at all in his voice.
I glanced down, "I never meant to hurt you," I whispered.
"Bullshit Hannah, I hope you two are happy together," He spat, storming off.

I'd hardly ever seen so much hate in Jeremy before, only before, when he was with me telling me about his ex, Tiffany. But we all know how that ended.

I downed my drink, ordering another, putting all the money on my tab. As I briefly glanced around the room, everyone looked blurry and I saw a merge of colours all mixed together.
I forgot that I was a lightweight when it came to drinking.
Oops.

As I slipped off the barstall very slowly, still clutching my drink, I heard a mixture of raised voices:
"She's my fucking girlfriend!"
"You don't know what's best for her!"
"You stole her from me," the second voice replied, I heard a slight slur in their voice.
"Well she chose me," Was the final thing that I heard before the voices went quiet.

I saw all of the coloured blurs move quicker for my eyes to follow them, two of the figures collided with each other in a mixture of vermillion red and dark violet.

Screams rang in my ears as I stumbled, falling against what seemed to be a table and sliding onto the cold, tiled floor.
The last thing I heard was, "Hannah? Stay with me!" Along with someone shaking me.

That was when I let the darkness surround me, my eyelids fluttering as my eyes fell closed.
