Chapter 26 - Epilogue:
"Hannah wait! You can't leave," Kier's desperate voice called from downstairs.
"I have to leave," I replied, hearing Kier sigh in response.Too late.
I was already packing my bags."But why?" He asked.
"I need a break," was my simple reply.Running a hand through my scarlet hair, I took my many bags downstairs and placed them in the living room. In my pockets were my phone and earphones, Ipod and purse.
Jeremy and Kier watched as I made sure I had everything to leave with.
"Hannah, are you sure?" Jeremy asked softly.
I nodded, "I just need a new start,"Jeremy pulled me into a tight hug and I smiled slightly, after a few minutes I pulled away, "Stay safe, OK?"
"Yeah," My voice was shaking and I attempted to stop tears blurring my vision.Kier looked at me, "Need a lift to the train station?"
"That'd be great thanks," I had fallen quiet again. As Kier took my bags, I gave Jeremy one last smile and slammed the door shut tight as I left.
I swung myself into the car, putting my seatbelt on and shutting the car door. The stars seemed to wink at me like we were sharing a private joke between old friends.
Blocking the world out with my earphones, I forced myself to focus on what was in front of me. I couldn't look back now.
A new start was just what I needed.
