Chapter 21 : Closer

I was going to meet Kier today.
I yawned and grabbed some coffee, I'd agreed to go and see his band play round his house. Apparently that was where all the equipment and everything was.
Brushing my scarlet red hair, I let my thoughts drift.
That was when I remembered that I had my first gig tonight.
I slipped a grey tank top on along with black jeans and boots, at least I looked decent today.

As I headed through the streets, I looked up at the grey, downcast sky and sighed. I wish it didn't look and feel so miserable outside today, at least I knew what I shouldn't wear for my upcoming gig in a few days if the weather stayed this way.

As I got on the bus, I noticed I was getting full on glares from everyone around me. I assumed it was because of the way I was dressed, but I wasn't full out in black, so I didn't understand what those looks were for.
I glanced outside at my surroundings, moving past me as fast as a train. I saw buskers sitting on the street with their guitars and singing their hearts out the best they could. Also, I saw couples strolling round hand in hand, as well as various different families.
As the I pushed the bell, the bus stopped and I headed off, on my way to Kier's house.

'On my way' I texted him

'K x ' Was the instant reply.

I put my earphones in, scrolling through my music, before picking 'City Lights' By Motionless In White. I began to weave my way through all of the crowds on the streets, attempting to push and shove my way through.
'What the fuck do you think you're doing?" I heard someone snap behind me. I just rolled my eyes and stuck a finger up at them in response.

After about 15 minutes, I found Kier's house and had knocked on the door, biting my lip and wringing my hands together nervously. What if his band hated me?
I heard the door open and a figure with black hair stood there, "You must be Hannah? Kier's girl,"
I gave a shy nod as I was ushered in.
"Hannah!" I heard Kier's voice call across the room as he ran over and hugged me, kissing my forehead.
'H-hey," I chuckled.

"Right guys, lets show Hannah how it's done," Kier and the others exchanged grins.

"Oh god," I muttered to myself as they grabbed the mics and other instruments and started playing Neon in the dancehalls.

I found myself grinning as Kier and Lawrence sung into a mic together, jumping up and down along with the others, they looked like they had so much energy and they were enjoying the music they played and what they did.

They eventually came to a slow finish only to get clapping and cheering from me, "That was brilliant!" I squealed as they all ran over to hug me. Kier's hair kinda looked sexy messed up..

I bit my lip and poured everyone some drinks as they were all sweaty. I sipped at my glass of coke, sitting with the others on the sofa and watching them turn the xbox on and flick through games, they picked Call Of Duty in the end.
"I'm going to so beat you guys," I smirked.
"Bullshit," Was the instant reply from all of them.
I chuckled, we'll soon see about that.

After about 3 hours, I decided to head back home as I had to start rehearsing for the gig tonight. Grabbing the list of songs that were our own and covers of other brilliant bands, I started to sing along to them and change them in a way that made the songs my own piece. Some of the covers included:

The Death Of Me - Asking Alexandria
Fences - Paramore
Chasm - Flyleaf
Before I Forget - Slipknot
Drown - Bring Me The Horizon
City Lights - Motionless In White
Areo Zeppelin - Nirvana

After finishing off on yet another practice of Areo Zeppelin, I glanced at the clock. It was around 5pm and I was meeting the whole group around 6pm, so we could be there before the swarms of people started to come in and crowds formed.

I headed upstairs to have a quick shower, afterwards jumping out quickly, drying my hair and slipping clothes on. For tonight I was wearing a nirvana shirt with their famous logo printed on it in a dark violet as well as black and purple tie-dye leggings and black thigh-high boots. Checking the weather, I grabbed my hoodie -which was quite baggy, as well as warm- and slipped it on.

Making sure my phone had charged, I put it in my hoodie pocket as well as my purse and my keys that I'd need for later. Running a hand through my hair to make it messy, I heard my phone vibrate due to a call and answered it.
"We're outside? Ready?" The guys asked.
"Ready." I replied, a confident grin on my face.

I stepped out into the pouring rain and got into the car that had pulled up in front of my house.
