Tony's POV:

Again......Nick and his 'emergency meetings'. Every one of them is the 21st century term for boring. And I was basically having a bad time. I would spend my time in the lab drinking alcohol if not for Morgan and Bruce. The sequence of events had rolled down real fast. First Thanos, then the snap which led to my damaged arm(which has been healed), then Pepper turning suddenly cold to me. It first happened when she started coming late home from work. It was understandable. But then, she started giving more importance to her work. Every time I was late for my work, she'd scold me. And then she turned cold to me. Not only me, but Morgan too. She left both of us, abruptly, saying that she found her soulmate and that she was not interested in me or Morgan. And with that I had bawled for months over her. I knew even I had a soulmate. I don't even know why I ignored my soulmate and decided Pepper. Still, being dumped sucked.

Anyway I had to go to a meeting about a new member to the team. Well yeah, so here I am accompanied by my weirdo friends listening to Nick talking about a Hydra secret base that we couldn't find and blah, blah, blah, blah.

'Stark, did you hear me?' Nick snapped at my direction.

'Not a single letter.' Nick rolled his eyes.

'So as I said, there is a new recruit named Y/N L/N. She will be your lab partner and she'll be helping you and Banner. You need to be hacking Hydra systems.'

'I'm better off with Banner.' I mumbled loudly.

'I thought you'd change but seems like you're still the ass you were.' A sweet as honey like voice filled the entire room as I saw a gorgeous lady entering the room, standing next to Fury.

'Well looks like you already fit in perfect with me.Would be a shame if you didn't use that gorgeous face of yours, darlin.' I said with a mischievously grin, getting lost into those E/C eyes.

'I'd be belly-dancing in a club then use it on you, Stark.' She said with a glare. Nick then continued to tell those strategies bout the plan or something. But I was lost admiring the H/C haired woman in front of me. A few hours later, the meeting was over and I'd planned to take Y/N on a tour. Soon we came to the lab.

'So,what have you've been working on?' She asked.

'T-The gauntlet.I-I've been working,I mean,yeah I was working on it.' I look at her with a light blush on my face. She smirked. She walked towards it and studied it.

'Hm...... Everything is good,but the nano-particles are loosely bonded.'

'Y-yeah?' She looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

'Tony Stark and shuttering? Not a perfect match.' She chuckled.

'But we'd be one.' I said smoothly.

'Fate decides that not you. Sad, you don't rule everything, right?'

'Seriously, other than being sexy, what's your job?'

'Mechanics and engineering.'

'Ah, my type. But have not built a phone to call God, cause he's definitely missing an angel.'

'And I better call Satan, cause he's missing a hot demon.' She passed over me. And I was totally red. Guess another lab partner isn't bad, right? This one's a bit feisty to get. I walk out of the lab, lost in her words.
