I'm not great at descriptions but the title basically says it all. I own no one and nothing. Hope's parents recently died and het family thinks it's better to send her to a new school around new people. She reunites with an old friend, makes new one...
I woke up at dawn the next morning like usual and had a shower to try and relax my tense muscles under the hot water which I successfully did for now, got dressed in the uniform; stockings, a grey skirt, a white blouse, a low V-neck sweater with a Gryffindor colored tie and my black heeled boots. Then I blew dry my hair and brushed it so it was in it's natural curls and and did a little makeup. After I was done in the bathroom I went back to the dorms and as no one was awake yet I grabbed my bag filled it with my books plus my sketch book and headed down to the common room.
I sat down in front of the fire on the couch with my legs crisscrossed and started sketching my Mom, 'cause if I can't have her with me here, I won't let her memory die. (Sketch below. Thank you google!)

As I was finishing I didn't hear someone come up behind me so when that someone spoke I jumped.
"That's really good." He said after I calmed down I spoke again.
"Thanks James. Didn't have to give me a heart attack though." I said laughing as I continued finishing it. When I was done I put my book in my bag and looked up at him. "So, what are you doing up so early?" I asked curiously.
"Couldn't sleep." He answered simply then kept going. "So, who was that you were drawing?" He asked looking at the fire.
"It.. was my mom." I said sadly taking my gaze from him and to the fire.
"I see where you get the good genes from." He joked nudging my shoulder I laughed and said;
"Yeah, I get my mercy and half of my good looks from my mom and the other half of my looks plus my eyes from my dad, and the temper comes with my last name." I joked and started laughing, he joined in soon too.
"So, what are you doing up so early?" He asked.
"Couldn't sleep. It's been a habit for the last moth and a half, also it's peaceful early in the morning." I told him. "I'll see you later, I'm gonna wake up Lily, Alice and Marlene." And with that I grabbed my bag and headed up to wake up the girls.
"Wake up!" I yelled as I pulled all of their blankets off, they all groaned but Lily was the first to sit up.
"What time is it?" Lily asked with a yawn.
"7:30, I thought we could all go down to breakfast together. Also classes start at 8:30." I said putting my black leather fringe bag, that had all my books and stuff, on my bed. "Get up!" I yelled again opening the curtains. The other girls besides Lily groaned but complied. I sat back on my bed reading a muggle book while waiting.
A little while later. "Okay, we're ready. Lets go." Marlene said grumpily. I chuckled but complied, I put my book back in my bag, then the strap on my shoulder and went to breakfast.
When we got to the Great Hall and the seats left were next to the Marauders, so when we sat down James went straight to aimlessly flirting with Lily, Alice was talking to someone I don't know, Marlene was stuffing her face with food and me, I went straight for the beignets, and put about four on my plate and started eating until Lily spoke to me.
