Ava parked in front of the huge steps that led up to the main door of the mansion. Still in awe she stepped out of the car.

Tyler let her look up at his home in wonder and secretly he gave himself credit for building it that way. Now she would like to stay here, right?

Still getting his hopes up over a materialistic purchase Ava turned around to look him dead in the eye.

"You're not taking care of your house properly." She left Tyler dumbfounded and opened the trunk of her car.

"What is wrong with it?" He asked her confused. To him everything looked totally fine.

"There are a few cracks and the colour is slightly uneven, also dove's shit is all over the front facade and got into the stone. If you keep it there your house will fall apart in the next thirty years."

Tyler's wolf Eros whined and tugged his tail in between his legs.
"We have to clean the house for her." He practically howled and Tyler shut him out in annoyance.

Of course they would have to.

"I can get it cleaned in the next days." Ava began to laugh at his cute guilty expression.

"It is the normal circle of a house. That was just my architect self trying to show off." She patted his shoulder while ignoring the annoying sparks.

Tyler huffed playfully and led her up the stairs.

"If that is so." He said chuckling and opened the door.

"Welcome to our home."

Ava didn't comment on how he practically refered to this castle as both of their homes and went inside.

The hall was huge. She asked herself if he was some lost son of the queen of Sweden but quickly threw that idea over board again.

"Give me your suitcase." Casually Tyler took the huge bag off of her and started to walk up another set of stairs.

"Do you live here on your own?" Ava hurried to stay next to Tyler while he was walking rather fast for her normal pace.

"Yes, no one else lives in these halls." He answered her grinning. "Except you now."

His comment made her blush.

-

"Your room is right next to mine, so if something is wrong you can just come in." She nodded and opened her suitcase.

Tyler longed to have her in his bedroom but because she is human it would make her uncomfortable.

Sighing he turned around.

"I'll leave you to unpack and get my cook to make something for us." She looked up at him.

"You got a cook?" This situation was getting more strange by the minute. How was he able to afford all this at 26 years old? So odd.

Tyler just nodded and closed the door behind him.

Sighing Ava looked around the room.

It was a simple but chic design. The colours neutral, mostly off-white with some dark blue and gold accents as decoration.

"What have I gotten myself into." She mumbled again and finished unpacking all her stuff for the next three weeks.

-

"Do you have a swimsuit with you?" Tyler casually asked over breakfast a day later.
She nodded and wondered why he would ask such question. The man was talking more and more like they were in a relationship.

"Good, I want to show you a place really important to me." He grinned and quickly ate up.

Ava wondered when they had gotten so close to each other.

Shortly after breakfast they were on their way to a hot spring on Tyler's territory.

"Are you sure I can stand in these waters?" Ava asked him as they arrived. She had never learnt how to swim. "Yes you can. There should be no deep edge in here." Ava trusted Tyler and went inside the hot water.

It eased her muscles and she was able to feel the stress melting off of her shoulders.

Tyler watched his mate with growing desire. His wolf Eros urged him to make a move forward and finally mark and mate her but it was too early.

-

Ava went deeper into the water until suddenly the ground beneath her vanished.

She had stepped into a hole deeper than she was able to stand in.

Panic rose as her head dipped under water and she couldn't breathe. In desperation Ava tried to get her head above water again but she just sank deeper and deeper.

As Tyler noticed his soulmate was no longer above water he panicked too. Quickly he dived down and searched for her with his eyes only to see her struggling in one of the little craters he forgot about.

Sh*t!

With fast pace Tyler swam towards Ava, grabbed her by the waist and pulled her up.

As soon as she had her head above water she clung to him crying and coughing up water. He held her close and whispered sweet nothing's into her ear until she calmed down.

"I'm so sorry Ava." He whispered. "I totally forgot about these little craters in the ground." She didn't answer him but laid her head on his shoulder in relief that he saved her.

Ava was done with life today, never again would she set foot into this spring again.

Tyler carefully went out of the cave like spring and carried her like a baby. As she started to shake, due to the cold air, he wrapped a towel around her and they both walked back to the house in silence.
