Tyler's P.O.V.
As I heard footsteps my heartbeat fastened.
Her scent filled the forest. In relief I sighed. She had come back to me after all.
I saw my mate playing with her hands. She was nervous.
"Tyler. I'm sorry I just left with no explanation." Her adorable voice filled my ears.
She sat down next to me and crawled under my arm, like a cat craving attention.
"Of course I want to marry you. I'm just so scared. Humans usually wait two years or more until they propose so I panicked and ran away." She sighed and closed her eyes.
"But here, no one is human. I just have to get used to the pace a little more." She whispered and pressed a kiss onto my temple.
"I know Ava. I will have to get used to your pace too. There's always two individuals in a relationship. If I overwhelmed you I'm sorry." She hummed and cuddled closer.
I picked her up to place her in my lap.
We stayed there, cuddling until the sun rose above the lake.
