Shinso's POV
The rest of the week went by so excruciatingly slowly that the other side of the window I sat next to started to look like a nice place to take a nap. Obviously I'm joking and exaggerating, but the tree did have a smooth dip that looked like a nice place to nap. Too bad it was right next to this class of psychos. I could tell that Dad wasn't holding out any better. Poor guy took a nap almost every lesson!
Wish I could do the same, but I would get shouted at by him later even though he's being a hypocrite, but whatever, I let it go.
Izuku - he told me to start calling him by his first name, us 'living together like brothers' or something - didn't come into school for the rest of the week, mainly to make sure he's properly healed. He did argue with Papa about it, but he kept fighting back until Dad stepped in activating his quirk to make him look more intimidating. It worked and Izuku backed down.
I met Eri who was now my little sister. I finally have a younger sibling! Oh I can't wait to be a clichéd older brother! I couldn't wait!
All the sappy stuff aside, Dad sat me and Papa down one night after Izuku and Eri were asleep - Eri had grown very attached to Izuku so they slept in the same room, cuddling each other to help with their nightmares. It was adorable. Anyway, back to the point. He told us about Izuku's parents and what happened and that no one knew where he's been for those three years. He did find out that All Might made contact with him about ten months before the UA entrance exam, but even he didn't know where the green haired boy was staying. It was after all of the explaining did Dad make the proposition of adopting Izuku. Papa and I jumped at the idea, not because we felt pity for him but because he was so nice to be around. Sure he was energetic at times and mumbled a lot, but aside from that he was calm and comforting and would actually achieve at putting a smile on my face. Papa thought I was possessed or had been body swapped the first time Izuku made me laugh at the dinner table. I couldn't help but laugh even more.
I wish everyday was like that.
Oh! Dad's about to ask Izuku about being adopted!Izuku's POV
We had all just had dinner and were currently finishing an episode of some crime show that Mr. Aizawa likes to watch. Surprisingly, Eri got really into it as well and even predicted who the killer was. And she was right! I got it completely wrong lol.
The credits were rolling and an advertisment for another show came up, but Present Mic turned the TV off and stated that it was time for bed, but before he got up, Mr. Aizawa shot him a look and seemed to be communicating silently with his partner. Interesting.
Present Mic nodded and picked Eri up while dragging Shinso out of the room, leaving me on the sofa with Mr. Aizawa. Ok then.
Then he cleared his throat before standing up and turned to face me.
"Midoriya. I have been meaning to tell you this for the past week, but I kept avoiding the topic."
I cocked my head in confusion. What was he talking about?
"I know what happened to your parents." he stated.
Oh. That.
I looked down for a second before looking back up at him with a small smile on my face.
"Is there anything more you need to know about that, Mr. Aizawa?" I asked him politely.
He shook his head. "That's not what I'm asking for. I wanted to ask, how would you feel if me and Hizashi adopted you?"
I sat there in shock for a minute.
Then two.
Before my eyes started to water.
"A-a-are you s-serious? Y-y-you're not j-joking, r-r-right?"
"Of course not. I am being completely serious." His conformation made my tears flow all the more.
"T-this isn't o-out of p-pity or an-anything, right? Y-y-you guys actually w-want me?"
Now he was crying and all he could do is nod his head before lunging towards me, wrapping his arms around me. My eyes had now turned into waterfalls.
But they were happy tears. Someone wanted me! They wanted to look after me! They didn't want me for some ulterior motive, but they wanted me. This whole week I was so scared as to what to do. I was thinking about running away or something so I wouldn't need to bother them anymore, but having clean clothes, fresh food, a bed. I didn't want to give that up, no matter how selfish that sounded, but I was about to as to not to overstay my welcome and then later on get kicked out. But I didn't need to. I didn't need to hide in an alleyway just hoping that I wouldn't be killed in my sleep by some random stranger or worry about the coming winter and how to get food. I would be looked after. I was wanted. Welcomed. I was not only getting kind and warm parents, but also a brother and a sister! I couldn't be happier.
"So is that a yes?" Mr. Aizawa chuckled, still waiting for an answer.
I didn't trust my voice and instead nodded my head vigorously.
"Alright!" I heard someone yell.
Both me and Mr. Aizawa looked up and saw the Present Mic, Shinso and Eri had been watching everything unfold. They all came running and joined the hug, somehow everyone was now just dog-piling on top of me all the while I laughed, tears still streaming down my face, but I was so happy.
Eventually they all got up and I wiped my tears before Eri jumped into my arms and held on tight.
"You're not going to leave, right Deku?" I let her call me that because she was struggling to say Izuku. She was struggling with all our names so we each have a nickname of sorts.
I hugged her back and said, "I'm not going anywhere."
After that, we all trudged back to our rooms and fell asleep, all of a sudden very exhausted from the crying session that took place. Yeah, even Shinso cried! I saw and he can't deny it!
Another chapter in the bag.
I'm going back to school on the 11th and then I have to study for some mock exams which start in the 21st so I may not post for a while, but knowing how I love to procrastinate and tend to do literally anything but revise, I'll most likely get a few more chapters done.
Just so you're aware, I sort of have part of the story planned out. Like, I know what I want to include, but I have no clue how to link two points so I'm kind of winging it haha.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this happy little chapter. See you next time!Byee xxx
