As I make my way downstairs, I keep thinking of what he might be planning.
Going to his room without his permission didn't really fetch me any good information but rather landed me in trouble.
What at all is he up to?
Am I overthinking about this situation?
What if he isn't planning anything and I'm here getting myself worked up for nothing.
I join the girls downstairs and surprisingly they don't even ask what took me so long.
They are engrossed with some sort of puzzle scattered on the centre table.
I munch on one of the cookies and I go into the kitchen to get more drinks.
On my way back to the living room I see Carlos descending the stairs.
It seems like he went to have a quick shower. No wonder his hair was wet and he had this nice refreshing smell.
Oh I shouldn't be thinking about this
I shake my head to get that thought out of my mind.
I join them in the living room and I try as much as possible to concentrate on what they are doing.
After a long and annoying bickering about what game to play next , majority of us settle on playing truth or dare
Which of course I was against that choice but then since I was the only one who didn't like the idea they decided to overlook it without taking into consideration my endless complains.
Bec stands up to get an empty bottle from the kitchen before the game begins.
Fynn volunteers to spin the bottle first
He begins to spin the bottle and it lands on Emily.
I see her cheeks go red because of Fynn's intense stare.
Hmmm there is something fishy going on between these two and I will make sure I know every detail of it.
It's not like I'm intruding into their personal space but come on Emily is my bestie and it's my responsibility to find out whatever goes on in her life.
Oh shit
I just missed the question Fynn asked Emily
But telling from her facial expression, I think is something intense.
As I'm about to ask her what she was asked she clears her throat and she begins to spin the bottle.
This time around it lands on Matilda.
" Truth or dare" Em asks
"Dare" Matilda replies in a daring way
"Ooooooooh" we all say in unison
"Okay I dare you to act like your favourite comedian." Emily tells her
After she is done with her dare we all burst into laughter since she really acted soo well like James Parker and she even exaggerated about the way he walks to the stage.
We continue the game
And this time it lands on Fynn
He chooses truth
"What is your most embarrassing moment?" Matilda asks already giggling
He begins to tell us a whole story of how fifteen middle aged women made him feel very shy at the age of ten because of his good looks.
As he talks ,he begins to make funny facial expressions showing his disapproval of what happened that day.
At the end, he tells us he had to put Ice on his swollen cheeks due to all that pulling.
He spins the wheel and it lands on Carlos
As expected he chooses dare and he is dared to act like an Indian mother whose daughter has been married off to another family.
I won't lie, so far this is the best performance I've ever seen
I kept on laughing so hard to the point where tears started flowing non stop.
They all stop laughing to look at me and we all burst into laughter again.
I think the McCains are really blessed with the talent of acting judging from the performance of the two siblings.
Before he spins the bottle he looks up at me and he wears a smirk on his face.
He then spins the bottle and it lands on me.
I'm sure he did something to the bottle because it's really weird how the bottle landed right on me after that smirk
I begin to demand for another spin but then my protest is unfortunately rejected.
"Truth or dare" he asks raising an eyebrow
I roll my eyes and I choose truth
"Lame" he says and I just ignore him.
"When and where was your worst break up and how did it occur?" He asks and I feel everyone's eye on me.
Couldn't he have asked any question that isn't this personal
I will get back at him for this
Ok ok ok I know it's just a game but then come on couldn't he have asked something less personal.
"Yes....come on answer" he insists
"Well I've never been in a relationship before." I reply feeling embarrassed.
"What! You've got to be kidding me Ciara. Are you saying you've never dated anyone.?" Matilda asks with her eyes wide
"Yeah really serious." I tell her feigning a laugh
I feel Emily squeeze my hand and I smile to her telling her I'm okay.
She knows how these questions make me feel so she tries as much as possible not to bring up anything related to these things in our conversations unless maybe I want to talk about it.
Mat and Bec begin to ask me endless questions about how I've been able to stay this long without dating anyone.
"Well I don't see anything wrong in this. I'm just not ready to be in a relationship with anyone now." I tell them and they just stare at me surprised.
I laugh at this and as they are about to ask more questions. Emily cuts them off and we continue to play the game.
I smile at her and I mouth a thank you to her.
After this awkward moment we continue the game and we get to know ourselves more accompanied with lots and lots of laughter.
