Part five // getting ready

Did I not post for a few days because I was watching Haikyuu and BNHA nonstop? Yes.
Do I regret it? No.

Byakuya's POV

After everyone finishes breakfast, me and Kyoko tell everyone to meet in the dining hall at five o'clock, for a 'class trial' of sorts for Makoto.

We all go do our own thing, the mood still heavy with the situation at hand.

"Hey Byakuya." Kyoko calls to me just after I exit the dining hall.

I sigh and turn back around to look at her.

"Byakuya, can you come with me to explain the situation with Makoto?" She asks.

"Why?" I state kind of annoyed. I'm not going to say no, but I am wondering her motives.

"I'll tell you when we get there" she states walking off to the nurses office with me not too far behind.

"Hey Makoto!" Kyoko says, and briefly smiles at him.

"Hey Kyoko!" Makoto says, with a smile back to her. "Oh, Byakuya! Hello, I didn't see you at first!" His smile gets bigger when he notices me. And cuter. Wait what?

"So Makoto, I told everyone to let you rest for today. Tomorrow people are going to be allowed in here, but I'll make sure not to many people are in here at a time. Tonight we are holding a little class trial at five o'clock. I was wondering if there was anything you could tell me from last night, like, take me through what happened in your eyes?"

"Of course." He says. "So, last night I fell asleep pretty early because I was really tired. After about an hour, I woke up. It was around 11 o'clock at night. I started thinking about what had happened that day and I wasn't able to fall back to sleep because I was thinking about...uh...umm..." He glances at me, then Kyoko for a second, then me again, and finally his gaze landed on Kyoko.

"Oh I see" Kyoko says. I see her smirk for a second, then regain her neutral face.

"Huh?" I hear Makoto say. I can't read his expression.

Makoto's POV

"Huh?" Is all I can manage to say.

Does she know? I mean I guess I should've just made something up, instead of just looking at them both. But what can I say? I panicked when I realized what I had been thinking about. I can't just say I was thinking about Byakuya for an hour and that's why I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night.

I mean, I don't even know why I was doing it. All I know is I caught him staring at me just before we were told the latest motive yesterday, and it made my heart flutter, and I couldn't help but blush. And when he looked at me again after, all I was able to do was give an awkward smile to him. I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Even when he came to see me this morning. 'He took time to come see me' was all I could think. And after I thanked him he didn't insult me! Oh god what's happening to me...

I know Kyoko can't see all of my thoughts, but for a second she gave me a smirk and it told me she knew exactly what I was thinking about until late last night. I realize I zoned out for a second and go back to our conversation. We can talk about this later, because it will be kind of hard to talk about with the person in question in the room. That is if, Kyoko does know.

"Oh, uhm, you do?" I say, still a little startled.

"Yes. We can talk about it later. Let's get back to the story now." Kyoko says, with a very confused looking Byakuya behind her.
