Byakuya's POV

I stand in front of Makoto, a plate of eggs and toast in my hands.

"Is that for me?" Makoto looks up from his place on his bed and gives me a smile. 'Who else would they be for, you idiot...' I think to myself, not really meaning it. I hear Kyoko fully exiting the room. It's my day with Makoto, and it's the day I'll be confessing.

"Yeah, here, take it." I hand the plate to Makoto carefully, and hand him his silverware.

It's not even a second later when Makoto starts stuffing his face, and I hear him try and thank me for the food, but it just comes out muffled and almost incomprehensible.

"Don't thank me. It's fine." I spit out, tense from what I have planned. Well, what Kyoko has planned for me. She's why I'm in this situation.

I sigh. I think it's best if I say it sooner than later.

Makoto finishes his food, and gives me the plate. I just put it off to the side, and sit down next to him for a moment. I stay silent, just thinking.

"Is their something wrong?" He asks, breaking the silence.

"No, I'm fine. Why do you ask?" I say, caught off guard by the question.

"I don't know, you seem off." He looks at me curiously. I'm surprised he noticed. Makoto's the sort of person that you would think is so dense and never realizes anything ever. I guess I should really stop underestimating him, he's proven over and over again that he can handle himself. I guess I'm just trying to rationalize not confessing, but his stupidly cute face staring up at me is proof enough he's too perfect to not like.

"Well their is something I need to tell you..." I say looking down. I try and keep my blush away, but ultimately fail.

"What is it?" He turns fully towards me, and I have no confidence at all in this moment. I'm glad I came prepared with a letter, or else I would've chickened out.

Not able to say anything anymore, I take out the letter from my pocket and shove the note into his face.

"Here, take it." I fold my arms while Makoto takes the note out of my hand reluctantly.

He goes to open the envelope, and I glance at him to see a look of confusion on his face.

*Ding Dong Bing Bong*

Out of nowhere, the body discovery announcement plays.

What. The. Heck.

"What?!" Makoto shouts, and stands up wobbling. "We have to go find the others!" He says, and almost falls over trying to walk to the door.

I snatch the letter back out of his hand sadly, and try to persuade him from getting up so fast. I attempt to convince Makoto that I'll come back to get him after going to talk to the others myself. I can quickly tell theirs no way to get him to sit back down, and hesitantly help him walk to the door.

Kyoko almost bumps into us in a rush.

"I was going to come get you guys." Kyoko says calmly.

"What happened!" Makoto shouts, and Kyoko sighs.

"It's Hiro..." Kyoko trails off, seeming to not know what else to say about the matter. Makoto makes a whimpering noise that makes even me feel awful about the situation.

She leads us to the highest floor we have access to, then into the art room

Walking into the room I see blood all over. I almost don't notice Yasuhiro because how bloody everything is. He seems to have been hit on the head with a bat, which is laying on the floor next to him.
