Part eight // The trial continues

Byakuya's POV

"What... why would someone...purposely keep him alive?" Aoi questions.

"We'll figure that out later when we have more leads. First, I want to ask everyone something. We know someone stole the scissors from Toko. Maybe we could establish a time frame. Do you remember the times that you were Genocide Jill and not Toko through the day yesterday?" Kyoko asks.

After I tell Genocide Jill to just answer the question, she explains how she woke up in the library as Genocide Jill, and then went back to Toko while in the locker room with me. We already knew about then, but apparently she woke up again as Genocide Jill after we had all left the gym from learning the new motive. That's what I got from half paying attention to her, because I can't stand her dumb voice.

"Alright." Kyoko says.

"Someone must've stolen the scissors during those times then." Sakura states like that isn't the most obvious thing in the world.

"Yasuhiro. What did you do throughout the whole day yesterday? We may be able to figure something out that way too." Kyoko says to him.

"Well I went to the breakfast meeting, then we all investigated the new floor. I talked with Monokuma for a bit, and then after a little while we went to my room. When we were done and dispersed, that is when I found Byakuya in the locker room. We then met up in the dining hall and were told to go to the gym."

"Alright. What did you talk with Monokuma about?" Kyoko asks.

"Well, he told Hifumi to give me trash duty because it's not allowed for someone to have it for this long. He explained everything I had to do and he answered all of my questions about it, and then left." Yasuhiro explains.

"Oh. So you have trash duty now then?" Kyoko says.

"Yup!" Yasuhiro states back

"Did you walk back to your room with anyone after we learned the new motive?" I ask him.

"I was with Taka! Right Taka?" He waits for Kyotaka's response, which never comes. "Y-yeah." Is all Yasuhiro says after that.

"Who else walked with someone back to their rooms?" I question.

"Me and Hina walked back together." Sakura says.

"I walked alone." Celeste says.

"Me too" Hifumi states

"I walked alone alone too." Kyoko says. "But Byakuya can attests to the fact I'm not the blackened."

"Yeah, she wouldn't have been able to hurt Makoto and get to her room that quickly because then she would be covered with blood." I tell everyone.

"But she could've washed off the blood in her room." Aoi retorts back.

"That's wrong. The water turns off in the dorms after nighttime starts" I state annoyed.

"Oh yeah..." Aoi just quietly says.

"But then what did the blackened do to get rid of their own things?" Celeste questions.

"I found a bloody coat in the library aswell, along with the clock. It could've wrapped around someone so they wouldn't get blood on themselves." Kyoko tells us all.
