Byakuya's POV

As I head back from the dining hall, I notice my rushed pace. I don't want to be late for Makoto. I took a while listening in on the commoners conversation and speaking to Kyoko. I don't know why I listened to it in the first place. They are all stupid little rotten children that I can't stand to be around.

Thank God the worthless commoners all visited Makoto yesterday, or else I wouldn't be able to stop myself from-

I look into the nurses office and my thoughts get completely thrown off track.

He looks up, and I walk towards him. "Hey 'Kuya."

"What did you just call me?" I know my face is all red now. Great.

Makoto giggles. "While you were gone I decided that you need a nickname."

"What? Why? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. My name is fine."

"C'mon," he pouts "I'm still going to call you it anyways."

"Why do I have to have a nickname and you don't?"

"You can give me a nickname! So then I can call you 'Kuya." Makoto laughs even more at the name.

"You can't choose anything better?"

"Unless you want me to go off of Togami and call you toe, I think this is your best bet."

"Or, Makotoe I could call you that as well."

"Fine I'll come up with a new oneeee." He thinks for a moment. "What about Bya-kun!" He shouts excitedly.

Bya-kun? Not too bad... "What am I, five?" Is what I say instead.

Makoto just laughs. "Are you going to give me one Bya-kun?" Normally if someone did this to me I would yell at them until they stopped, but it's kind of cute so I can let it slide.

A nickname for Makto....

While I stand there thinking, Makoto is just staring at me. My face gets red for a moment but I calm myself down. It's going to be hard to think about a nickname. I've never done anything like this, where do I even start?

"What about Koto."

"Koto? I like it!" He smiles up at me. I almost smile back.

Up until this point I have been standing in front of Makoto- or should I say Koto-, but now I sit down on the bed next to him.

"We should do something. Like play a board game."

"A board game?" I question.

"Their has to be at least one here, maybe in the storage room?" He thinks aloud. "You should go get us one!"

"A board game?" I repeat.

"Yeah! Is their a problem?"

"I've never played a board game before. It sounds stupid."

"WHAT! You have to play one with me now." I would say no, but the way he looks up at me while he says that...

"I don't know what I'm supposed to look for. I've never seen one before."

Makoto looks appalled. "It will be a box, and it will be more wide than tall. Look inside the box and their should be a board kind of thing, and a bunch of random items that go with the game?" He said it more like a question as if he didn't know if I would understand.

"Okay." I sigh. "I'll be back." I stand up and smooth out my suit, then head out of the door after getting a thank you from Koto. It's so weird to say that.

I walk to the storage room for the first time, and see all of the big shelves tower over me. I walk around the room a few times until I see small boxes hidden in between different items on the bottom shelf. I look inside the one on the top to see what I believe is a board. I grab it and head to the nurses office once again.

When I step into the room Makoto looks up at me and smiles. "Monopoly!"

"Is this the right thing?" I ask

"Yeah! Monopoly is so fun! Put the box down I'll teach you how to play."

Makoto sets up the game in between us on the bed. He chooses the dog and I choose the hat. While setting up the board, he explains how the game works. Apparently, you start off with some money then roll the dice. As you move around the board you buy properties, and if you land on the other person's property you have to pay them. Sounds easy enough, and it's not as dumb as I thought it would be. It's still kind of stupid. But if it's worth Makoto's time, it's worth mine.

As Makoto finishes explaining a few other random rules, he passes out the money we start with. Finally we start the game and Makoto goes first.

After we both pass 'go' one time, Makoto is beating me. But few turns later I own most of the properties, and Makoto keeps having to pay me. Makoto lands on free parking (For all of you uncultured people, that is when you get to take all the money from the middle.), and looks so exited. Adorable. I roll the dice and get a seven, and get into jail. I get laughed at, but Makoto also explains why going to jail in this game isn't so bad. I get some houses on my properties after getting three of the same color.

I eventually land on a space called 'income tax' "Koto what do I do?" I ask, as I've never gotten this space before.

"Oh just don't do anything." He responds.

"What?"

"I never do anything at this space, whenever I play with my sister or something we just don't do it, so it's fine."

"That's dumb. Just look at the rules and tell me what to do here."

"It's not a game of monopoly unless you make up your own rules. come on." He gives me a big smile.

I roll my eyes, but I don't really mean it. For the rest of the game, me and Makoto just don't do anything when we land on that spot.

Near the end, I'm totally annihilating Makoto. When we decide to finish, I beat Makoto by so much I almost start laughing.

"It's just beginners luck! Don't let it get to your head, Bya-kun!" He sticks his tongue out at me, but starts laughing after a moment.

"This was better than I thought it would be." When I say this, I'm talking about the game, but I also feel the same about my time I spent with Makoto. It was nice.

Idk why he was so mad at being called Kuya specifically and not Bya-kun but let's just go with it lol.
