One Bad-Ass Meta

Maya's pov
Blood. There's so much blood in all the pictures. "Man this was a bloodbath." Joe states, picking up each picture of men that have been slaughtered.

"I wonder who our killer is. He must have been pretty angry to do this to all the men." I said feeling pity. They were just trying to do their job and look what happened.

Patty looks at us all. "One person did all this?" She asked. Sometimes I think Patty forgets that the world isn't the same as it use to be with all the metas roaming the streets. Just then Barry starts giving her information of why it was only one man causing me to sigh and stand next to Joe.

"A meta possibly?" I ask. It seems almost impossible for one normal man to commit a numerous amount of murders.

"I don't know, but I found this in all of the stab victims' wounds." Barry holds up a bag with small items found inside. "It's some type of cryptocrystaline—flint most likely..." I started to block out Barry's voice as I started to think about Will.

Captain Singh notified me to work with Barry and Joe on this case since Will wasn't feeling 'too hot'. "So cute." I heard Joe's deep voice as I turned to him. It appears he was looking at Barry and Patty causing me to look back at Joe. "You guys are trying not to be affectionate in front of me."

This made me smile watching the both of them look normal. I then look at Barry who is also keeping his cool. No blushing? Anything? Patty and Joe walk away after saying it was them being professional, leaving Barry and I. "Keeping it professional and all, huh?" I smirk nudging his arm and wiggling my eyebrows.

He shakes his head. "Yes. Unlike you and Will." He turns the tables making me gasp. Will and I are not a thing, yet I suppose. Or maybe we'll never be a thing. "How are you holding up by the way?" He asked, since the last time I saw him was when I turned into a human shield and saved him from Dr. Light.

"Honestly, I'm okay." I lie and smile at him. He didn't seem to believe me but I walked away. "I'm going to hang with Iris at Jitters. I'll catch you later." I say as he nods.

After saving Oliver from this guy with white hair, we entered his lair with Kendra which seemed to improve since the last time I saw him. My eyes were in awe until I heard Barry say "Also, I just noticed no sleeves." My attention moved to Oliver sleeveless.

"Oh yeah." I poked his bicep with my index finger. "Aren't you cold though?" He does look like he's working out more...

"Maya, I spent the better part of five years on an island in the North China Sea." He said and looked at me with a straight face. "I don't get cold." He then walked away as I put my hands up in surrender. So serious.

Just then I saw a beautiful familiar blonde run up to my brother and I. "Barry! Maya!" She said and hugged us both. We smiled at her until she hit us both.

"Ow." We both said and rubbed our arms.

"How come you didn't tell me Zoom broke your back?" She told Barry which he had no answer for. Then pointed at me, "And you, traveling through portals to different earths."

I corrected her, "Actually it was one earth-"

She pulls us into a hug. "Oh, I'm glad you both are okay." We hesitantly hugged her back, puzzled. I guess that was a short summary of her reaction toward us.

As Thea is introducing herself and Team Arrow, Oliver begins to say to Kendra. Barry said that you needed our help. Somebody very dangerous is after you."

"What does this guy even look like?" Thea asked, Barry grabbing a sketch book and sketching the mans face.

After we were discussing Kendras problem, we decided to settle down a bit. So there I was, sitting next to Thea while she was talking to Cisco. "I'm not changing my nickname." She said to the man with luxurious long hair. "I like Speedy."
