The Spy In You (A Sokeefe Spy AU)

Chapter 4

A/N: Back with another chapter,  that's all I'm gonna say apart from some explanations...

Oh wait also, this will probably be my last chapter in this book before I get to the weekly update schedule. Just sayin'.

Note, this chapter, like the previous one, will be told in third person POV from Sophie and Keefe's angles.

Okay, so I understand that in the actual books Jolie is WAY older than Sophie, which is what initially led her to think she was her mother, but this IS a Spy/Human AU after all... And humans don't really live very long...

So just imagine Jolie's like 12 years older than Sophie, as mentioned in Part 1.

I really wanted to see what kind of person I could bring out Jolie to be, pretty sure we're all curious, so this is how I think she's like!

Edit: It was originally supposed to be 4 years age gap, but it didn't work well, so tha age gap is now 12 years.

Sophie

"Sophie?" A voice called.

Sophie looked up from where she was squatting at and was greeted with a pair of bright turquoise eyes.

Jolie. Her adoptive older sister.

Jolie gave a confused smile. "Are you okay, Soph?"

Sophie shook her head. There was no point lying to her sister.

Jolie was Agent Conjurer, another of the Black Swan's best spies. No lie could ever fool her.

"Maybe telling me what's wrong would help," Jolie suggested, sitting next to her.

Sophie sighed and shifted to a crossed legged position.

Jolie was a good listener. Sophie always confided in her, and saying their sisterly bond was strong, was a MAJOR understatement.

Besides, Jolie might be the only person who could understand Sophie. Her fiance, Brant, had once also been one of the Black Swan's spies.

Except when Brant had been sent into the Neverseen to be a double agent, he was discovered to be working as the double agent AGAINST the Black Swan.

Jolie was crushed when she found out Brant had been using her all the while.

Thankfully, being the strong willed  person she was, she managed to get over Brant and went back to normal life. As normal as your life could be when you were a secret agent, that is.

"Come on, little sis," Jolie nudged Sophie gently. "You can tell me anything."

Sophie shook her head. "Not this," she whispered. Jolie couldn't possibly be able to help with this.

Jolie sighed exasperatedly. "Then tell me the gist of it. Or else how can I help you? "

Sophie bit her lip. "What if you like the wrong person? Like, what if you like someone you'rd not supposed to like?"

Jolie gazed into a distance. "Don't go down the same path I did, Sophie," she whispered.

"But it's not the same thing!" Sophie defended. "I need help! Tell me what to do if I like the wrong person."

Jolie rubbed her chin, pondering what Sophie just told her. "I think..."

"YOU THINK WHAT?!?!" Sophie exploded. She was tired of feeling like she betrayed the world by liking Keefe.
