As you were outside with the fresh air surrounding you, you called Seon-Hua. Luckily she picked up and so you informed her of Vinny's and your absence.

You were really glad that it was pretty quiet as you two walked side to side on the empty road.
Even though the way back was quite far away, you two decided to walk back instead of calling a taxi, just because you were feeling like walking the way back.

When you heaved a sigh, the certain boy next to you also did the same at the same time. Once again, you felt his hand which was grabbing yours. Vinny's and your body heats were mixing with each one's and that created a warm feeling on the spots you touched each other.

At first, the only thing that was audible, was the klacking sound of your high heels until you stopped walking for a bit and it was now complete silent.
Your glance fell on a bench which happened to be along the way.Of course Vinny followed your gaze which made him spot it too.

"Do you want to sit down?" You just nodded and so you two headed to it to do what the boy had said. The moment you did so, you let out a relieved sigh. But Vinny was not sitting down. Instead, he knelt down in front of you and next thing you knew, was that he pulled off your heels.
Of course he did it gently.

Once they weren't on your feet anymore, he grabbed one leg and lifted it a bit, observing the back of your feet. Both of your heels were covered with blisters.

Yeah, you weren't used to wearing high heels at all, so your feet had hurt all day long until this very moment where you were finally a little released from the stinging pain.

"Why haven't you said anything?" Vinny frowned as he continued to observe your feet. "It's no big deal. Don't worry."
"You have to rest." was the only thing Vinny said to you while ignoring your just said sentence.
"Let's go home, then I can rest there."

Vinny's eyes suddenly widened, which made you wonder what had caused his reaction and so you followed the way his eyes had been staring. Which were your feet. They had started to bleed. Right then, your wounds began to burn.
From the feeling of the buring pain, you drew the air in sharply through your mouth. "Is it too painful?" Vinny asked while he observed your face. A deep frown was visible on his forehead. Without saying a word, you just nodded.

Vinny then grabbed your heels and turned his back on you while bending down. "Climb on." he just said.
"But-" you wanted to decline his offer but you immediately got interrupted my him. "Or else you have to go home barefoot, since I'm not going to give you back your shoes. Not that I'm going to let you do that though."
He had mumbled the last sentence but it was still audible for you. You went speechless. That was very sly of him, what you hadn't expected.

So you had no other choice but to get on his back and let him carry you the way home. Luckily the dress was wide enough for him to be able to piggyback you. And just like this, you two continued your way back.

"Thanks" you whispered into his ear but to which Vinny didn't respond. Well, you didn't need a response from him, you just wanted to have said it to him.

Finally back to your house, Vinny let you down on the couch. The moment he did so, he immediately stood up again and went to the kitchen. He came back with the first-aid kit and began to clean the wounds on your feet. You let out a gasp when he started to disinfect it because it had started to burn once again.
"Sorry. Please bear with it for a bit." Vinny looked at your with a pained expressioned face and he seemd... sad?

- Vinny's POV -

"I shouldn't have let her wear these shoes, let alone let her go to this party in the first place." It pained me to see her in pain like this. After I disinfected her wounds, I put band-aids on them.
"Vinny?" I looked at my girlfriend who was staring back at me. I seem to have been lost in thoughts just now. "Thank you very much for treating my wounds." I noticed that I was still holding on to one of (Y/N)'s foot even after I had long finished tending to it and so I let go of it.

- Vinny's POV end -

You had noticed that Vinny seemd down and out of it ever since he had discovered that you were injured. And so, in order to get it off his mind, you thought of something. "Now I'm hungry. Even though I ate at the party earlier..." you mumbled but still loud enough for Vinny to hear. It seemd that Vinny finally snapped out of his thoughts completely.
"I'll cook ramen for you." he said as he stood up and trailed off towards the kitchen. But not without a last glance at you and your wounded feet.

Your eyes followed your redhead until he disappeared into the kitchen. Once he was no longer visible, you let out a sigh.

You knew exactly what was going through his mind right now. "How can I make him stop feeling guilty?"
"But first...", you looked down on the dress you were still wearing, "I should change my clothes first."
And so you stood up and walked, or maybe more like limped upstairs. Though it didn't hurt very much now since you weren't wearing the high heels anymore.

Once you were in your room, you quickly got the dress off you and changed into some comfortable sweatpants and a t-shirt. Then you walked back downstairs and there, you could already smell the scent of ramen.
A smile creeped on your face as you got near the kitchen with every step you took and you eventually came to see the delicious food that got placed on the table by Vinny.
"Thanks Vinny." You sat down on the table and immediately began to enjoy the meal.

And thus, this day ended quiet and relaxing.
