The kitchen was quiet. The rented house was quiet. In fact, everything around you was quiet.
It was early in the morning and you were alone in the kitchen, since everyone was still fast asleep.
Just sitting there on the table and doing nothing. Your mind was somewhere else. Someplace that even you didn't know. You didn't even know what you were thinking of right now.
Soon after, a noise got you out of this place. It was the noise of doors being opened and soft steps on the floor were following right after.
Shortly, all the people with who you had gone to this trip with, were appearing in the kitchen.
Some of them were already energetic, as for the rest, they were still half asleep.
The moment you laid eyes on a certain redhead, your peace of mind abruptly erased and it got replaced by the memories of the incident from last night.
Grumpy was the word that was describing you right now.
Not only did you not talk with anybody, you were also avoiding facing them.
And that was still the case when you were inside the bus.
Since the moment Vinny woke up, he didn't look very good.
He had dark circles under his half-open eyes and his body was leaning against the window.
"I can't remember anything that happened..." he growled as he looked out the window.
You, who were sitting next to him, took a worried look at him but then, as you remembered what happened last night, you abruptly looked away as you let out a small huff.
On the whole ride back, you didn't say a thing and also didn't look at Vinny; not even once.
When the bus came to a stop, you were the first one to get off.
The only and last thing you said was, "Well then, I gotta go to work now. See you.", before you rode off on your bike.
- Vinny's POV -
(Y/N) hard been acting strange since this morning.
Just as I was thinking about her behaviour, something came to my mind.
"No, I don't have work that day and I don't have anything planned either."
She was lying about having to go to work...
We wanted to hang out together after the trip.
But why would she lie?
"Oof. Looks like someone is jelly." Dom suddenly said as he stepped next to me.
"What? What do you mean?" I was confused.
"You can remember at all? It's because of that." he stated as he pulled out his phone and searched for something.
When he found what he was looking for, he showed it to me.
A photo was on the display of the phone and it seriously shocked me.
It showed a picture of me sleeping, with my head leaned on the shoulder of the girl's team of the bike competition.
"What's this? Was I drunk??"
Suddenly, all the events from last night kicked into my memory.
I held my head with both my hands, but I still let my bike lean on my body so that it won't fall to the ground.
"Oh no.... What did I do?"
"You have to apologise to her!" Yuna said with a very resentful face.
"Yeah man! Why did you do this to her? It wouldn't have happened if you wouldn't have been drunk." Dom also commented.
- Vinny's POV end -
- 3rd POV -
Vinny frowned and ignored the complaints of his friends.
"Well then, I'm gonna go."
He got on his bike and rode off.
"Make super sure to make it up to her!!!" Dom called out to his friend, before he disappeared from the street in front of them.
- 3rd POV end -
When you were home, you went straight to bed and laid down, staring at the ceiling.
You weren't really angry at Vinny, but you just couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy off you.
And even though you already warned this girl to stay away from Vinny, she still hung out with him.
It was obvious that they weren't close to Vinny but this one girl was after Vinny, that you could tell.
You regretted giving Vinny the cold shoulder but you just couldn't control your emotions.
"How am I able to face him now?"
Already seeing the whole outcome that would occur in the next few days or even weeks, you sighed at your imagination.
"Why am I like this?"
You knew that it wasn't completely his fault.
After letting out a long, deep and depressing sigh, you unwillingly stood up to brush your teeth and change your clothes.
With the rest of the day well, you spent it doing nothing.
