"No!" I heard the scream, anguished in the roar of the wind. I turned, climbing back up the steps to the tunnel through the mountain, seeing the figures of Nikki and Eret stood still, staring away from me at the terrible sight.

The flag was burning.

I ran to them immediately, quickly embracing Nikki as she wept. I know how hard she worked on that. Eret's face was practically stone, rage etched into his lips.

"What's going on?" I asked the King. I watched him pull his fur trimmed cloak tighter as he bit his lip in rage.

"The traitor is burning the flag." I didn't know who he meant in that moment before the first piece of fabric frayed and cascading to the ground.

"FUNDY YOU BASTARD!" He screamed, crown slipping as he took a step forward against the weather.

"Fundy?" I stuttered. Surely not... It had to be an act, right? He wouldn't truly work for Schlatt... Would he? But then again, I suppose I had joined this war of politics with the intent of being on Schlatt's side. Maybe we weren't so different. Maybe we wanted the same thing, but he was better at acting for it.

"My flag..." Nikki cried into my shoulder. I wrapped my arm around her tighter, Eret mimicking.

"Even I know the right side this time..." I heard him whisper. Maybe he did feel regret for what he did. In time, I could learn to forgive him, as it seemed he truly cared for L'manberg.

"Take Nikki back to the bakery," I instructed quietly, "I need to talk to the others."

Eret didn't make any acknowledgement he'd heard me, but he did slowly lead Nikki away down to the harbour where her esteemed bakery was.

I needed to call a meeting.

After rounding up Quackity, George, Tubbo and Fundy into one of the White House Cabinet rooms, I sat them down, confronting them.

"Look, fellas," I started placidly, "I need to know where your allegiances lie. Because I have a sneaking suspicion that none of us are truly on Schlatt's side. And if that's the case, I think it best if we all work together, to help Wilbur and Tommy." As predicted, there was a stunned silence. We were the five members of the government Schlatt had appointed. And I'd just asked them if, like me, they wanted to take him down.

"I owe no allegiance to Schlatt or Wilbur. I side with Dream. He needs me to be here right now, but says he wants to help Pogtopia, as they're calling it, from the shadows." George spoke first, taking off his white rimmed glasses and cleaning the lenses with his sleeve.

"Dream wishes to help Pogtopia?" I frowned. Whilst this would be a huge advantage, I couldn't help a sneaking suspicion of him having more motive.

"That's all I know. He hasn't told me much else. But know that I follow him." I nodded. In all honesty, George's opinion meant very little to me, as he had a tendency to disappear when important events occurred. But it was interesting to find we had Dream's backing. I turned to Fundy.

"Fundy, you better be secretly working for Wilbur after the stunt you pulled today. Because I swear to god if you ever make Nikki cry again, I will be responsible for the consequence. I don't care if we were raised almost as siblings, I will not see the only pure heart in this country damaged." The man with the copper hair stared at me for a second, as if debating in his mind.

"I am. I thought, if I didn't tell anyone, if I acted like Schlatt's lackey it would make it all the more believable... But I admit that I need help. I can't do this alone. My father may be reckless and a little cold, but I could never betray him." He rattled off quickly, head bowed. I placed a hand on his shoulder, like I had when we found out Sally had left.

"Fundy, we're here for you. We can help you. Keep up the act, but know, if it gets too much, you can confide in me." He smiled.

"I have a diary, a record of everything I know about Schlatt so far, his weakness, his strengths, everything." He told us. I raised an eyebrow.

"Go on."

"You've probably noticed, but Schlatt... He's a heavy drinker. A very heavy drinker. So much so to the point that if this goes on for much longer, he'll be dead in two months." I froze. The five of us shared alarmed looks. I may not have agreed with Schlatt, and he may be a tyrant, but I didn't wish him dead. In some ways... I had begun to respect him for how clever he was.

"I-" I didn't have a response. Tubbo broke the silence.

"Tommy came to see me the other day." My head whipped around at the mention on his name.

"How is he?" I immediately asked, before checking myself. "I mean... What did he want?" I stumbled over my words.

"He asked me if I wanted to help him and Wilbur. As a spy." I held my breath. "I said I would."

"Tubbo, just... Be careful alright? Schlatt values you most in L'manberg because he thinks he has control of you, and that can be used as leverage over those two. So please, promise you'll be careful."

"I will. And as for leverage, I think Tommy at least, is certainly more concerned about you. He... He was asking for you, Felicity." I paused, breath hitching in my throat.

"He asked about me?" I breathed, barely audible.

"Yeah. He wanted to know if you were okay, he wants to talk to you. Felicity he really misses you." I felt a tear form in my eye, but blinked it away before it could fall.

"I miss him too..." I said softly. Tubbo hugged me quickly.

"I'll go talk to him tomorrow." I stated, more confidently than I felt.

"You can't," Quackity spike for the first time, "Schlatt's restricted you from leaving L'manberg. Did you hear?"

"No?" I frowned.

"He said he didn't trust you. You're not allowed to leave." The Vice President informed me quietly.

"I- I'll find a way. I need to see him." I assured them all.

"And as for who's side I'm on... I can't betray Schlatt." Quackity said bluntly.

"What?" Fundy and Tubbo chorused together.

"I can't betray Schlatt because... I'm scared. I'm a coward. Felicity, you know what he did to me, and I'm fucking terrified. I want to help you, but I can't." He explained, voice low.

"It's okay, I understand. Quackity, just look after yourself. Please." I told him firmly.

"I will. Don't worry, I won't tell Schlatt what was said here today. But I can't help you. I'm sorry." I nodded.

"Okay. So we all have our jobs. We know what to do." I said.

"What about you?" George asked.

"I'm going to talk to Tommy."
