Dakota's POV
She was staring down at me with her medium sized eyes. Why does everyone have medium sized eyeballs. AND WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO BE TALLER THAN ME!
Anyways, she seamed mad. Like always.
"Why are you late Dakota?!" My teacher said"
Before I could answer I looked around the classroom and noticed that everyone was staring at me. Oh how I hate creating attention.
"Umm...I..." Is all that came out of my mouth. I can't handle the pressure!!!!
Well at this point you would expect me to tell the truth and beg that she won't mark me late. Well that didn't happen in this story...
"Hello?! Earth to North Dakota" she said
Oh my god...she did not say that!! I hate when people called me North Dakota" or "South Dakota."
She literally went too far
That's when I got this feeling of anger and I wanted to scream at her. So I did.
I screamed at her
And insulted her until I turned red.
That was one of the worst mistakes of my life...
Because instead of getting Dylan's number after school,
I got a detention slip with my name on it.
***
So I walk to the detention room on the 1st floor. I am nervous cause I never got in "big" trouble before. But whatever. So I walk into the room and all of these angry, mean, students stared at me. And the teacher was sleeping. Of course.
So I sit down next to this girl who has a curly hair that's in a pony tail and I start to think about Dylan. How I stood him up. And my friends. Who are roaming free with each other while I am stuck in detention. Me and Amber could be knitting scarfs right now and eating pizza rolls. Ugh why!
After thinking about how terrible my day is going, I decided to introduce myself to the girl sitting next to me.
When I tapped on her shoulder, she turned around and I couldn't believe my eyes.
It was Amber.
***
"AMBER?! What are you doing here?" I said. Omg the quiet one who doesn't talk that much, and the one who never does anything wrong was in detention
"It's a LONG story" she said
Oh well...I got time.
