Chapter 28

"Please be okay.." Y/n kept repeating in her head with her eyes shut, holding Hyunjin's hand. She snuggled closer to where he was sitting and took a cloth from Jisung. She lowered Hyunjin's head by holding his jaw gently.

She started to softly dab the cloth on the little scars on his face, Y/n remembered the time where they came back from defeating the other gang and Hyunjin was angry and upset. She went to his room and cleaned the blood on his lip. He said that he liked it when Y/n cleaned his wounds..

The small memory made her smile. It's crazy to think how much he changes with the different people that are around him.

"You fine now..? You seemed a bit...dizzy." Felix asked all of a sudden from beside her.

Y/n snapped back into reality and slowly nodded. She was still a bit dizzy but what made her more concerned was Felix's shotted leg. "But your leg.."

"I'll patch it up for now." He said and a few seconds after Jisung passed a cloth with cast tape and Felix began to wrap it around his wounded spot.

Once he was done he looked up and still saw Y/n's face which was showing a mix of emotions. When he tried to identify them he would think of another emotion so he softly patted her head. "It's going to be alright..."

Would it though? She wished she could stay positive, but she couldn't, ever. It was so hard to think on the bright side because all of that hope could be crushed by just a single thought coming from her own mind.

Teary and red eyes, a dizzy head, an insecure and sensitive mind holding the hand of someone she loved maybe to never speak again. Would it get any worse...?

"Everything happens to me, but it always happens for a reason. What's the reasoning for this?" Y/n thought to herself.

What did Hyunjin say to Y/n that she couldn't make out, that she couldn't respond to, that she couldn't return the hug, why at that time and moment, why couldn't she hear his voice, why did she have to hit her head at that moment..? Everything happened at the wrong time..

She was still drowned in her thoughts, until she saw the flashing headlights of a car in front of her and Chan told everyone to get out of the van and into the hospital. Changbin got out from the passenger seat and helped Felix come out of the van, holding him from his side. Chan got out and opened the van's door on Hyunjin's side and carried him out, then Y/n proceeded to get out with the others following behind her.

They got inside the hospital and immediately told the receptionist what happened very quickly and registered. Within a few seconds a nurse came out and checked the conditions of Hyunjin and Felix. After checking their conditions thurley, she placed a clip like device that clipped on to Hyunjin and Felix's fingers called a pulse oximetry to measure their blood oxygen level.

Felix's blood pressure was alright but Hyunjin's was... lower than normal, making Y/n a bit frozen.

"Did he experience any symptoms..?" The nurse asked, making sure why his blood pressure was low.

Minho started to lose his cool. "Ma'am I'm sorry, but he is knocked out with his head bleeding and you can clearly see he is critically injured! Doesn't that prove why his blood pressure is low?! Or would you like me to-"  

Y/n cut him off while looking down, she felt her cheeks heat up. "Dizziness, he felt light headed and his head was hit a couple of times..." Chan glared at Minho and very quickly Minho lowered his gaze with a soff trying to calm himself down.

"Yes, right this way, follow me." The nurse said to us. Hyunjin was placed on a stretcher and led to his room while the others followed behind. Jisung stayed behind with Felix. "We'll get back to you in a few minutes sir." The nurse commented. Despite Felix being shot on the leg his blood pressure was normal and he didn't experience any symptoms like Hyunjin so he would wait in the lobby for his turn.

Jisung and Felix sat on the blue chairs in the lobby just a few meters away from the receptionist's desk. The lights were bright and the white walls made them even more dazzling. It was practically almost midnight and there were barely any other people waiting in the lobby.

Y/n was getting a bit nervous and her heart started pounding beneath her chest as she walked. They were told to stay outside, Y/n stood there looking at the ground closing her puffy and tired eyes. She wanted to sleep...but she wanted to stay with Hyunjin.

Chan patted Y/n's shoulder and bit his inner cheek before speaking. "It's...it will be fine, ya?" He tried comforting her, knowing that she's worried sick. In fact, he might have thought that she could've been traumatized by seeing all that violence happen in front of her.

Y/n looked up to Chan's face and nodded, not making eye contact. All six of them waited outside for quite a while but not too long since Hyunjin's condition was severe and needed healing.

A nurse came out of the room making Chan and Minho stand up from the seats they were sitting on and the other's heads looked up at her. "We cleaned the remaining scars and other injuries, including the bleeding from his head. We will do a further examination to check any other injuries after sometime, there are other patients we need to check. His blood pressure is now ok from treating it. You may go see him for the time being if you'd like."

Immediately, the others that were seated stood up and thanked the nurse, but before they could go in, they let the doctor come out. Y/n was the first one to rush in after the doctor came out and saw Hyunjin in a blue patient gown laying down. All she could focus on was him and the sound of his heart beating coming from the monitor.

She moves close to him and rests her hand on his forehead slowly scanning his features. A sudden wave of negativity hit her from the sound of his heart beating, what if it stopped all of a sudden..?

She tried to hold all the thoughts back in her head. Changbin stood beside her, he was worried for Hyunjin as well but he knew he had to be patient in situations like these. "He's alright."

Y/n tried to hold back her frustration and sadness but she let some out. "You can't be sure, I know we're all trying to stick on the bright side but...it's so hard." Her voice cracked at the end and she cursed in her head.

"I know it's hard..." Changbin didn't have much to stay and just looked at the other members inside the room.

She sat on the hospital bed holding Hyunjin's hand, it calmed her..but also made her scared. She lost everyone. Her mom, dad, barely had any friends, it was depressing. She couldn't lose this one person that she felt truly safe with. She didn't want to lose more, the world is so cruel.. 

a/n: Kinda sad, I'm so attached to this book ahhh only a few more chapters till it ends. :((( AnNDdD I started school again, I still will try my best to update!! Love you guys <3
